Re: [Help] Occidentalis v0.2 software on Raspbian 2014-01-07

I remember trying it before on Raspbian and not having it work. I can try it again. Didn't know there was software online for the printer either. :/

Edit: Using Raspbmc as my main distro for my printer and everything is working alright. :)

[Help] Occidentalis v0.2 software on Raspbian 2014-01-07?

The software for https://learn.adafruit.com/pi-thermal-printer/overview is on the Occidentalis distro but it doesn't work with the Raspberry Pi board I have. I really doubt Adafruit is ever going to update it again. Is there anybody that can put the software from Occidentalis on Raspbian? I kinda wa...

Re: Smallest Linux Install

From previous posts it seems he had a decent sized SD card but it failed. Stopgap until payday ? Not everyone has money to buy a couple of sd cards at a time, Though I'd guess a friend or neighbour will have a 2gb sd card lying around if you ask. Boot from 16mb sd can be done, if you also use a usb...

Re: Smallest Linux Install

Well all great ideas. :) I don't want to buy another SD card when I have one. Just wanted to know if there was anyway to boot the Raspberry Pi up for just SSH or something. 15.9MB is all the space that can be used on my SD card.

Re: Smallest OS for Raspberry Pi

Anything smaller than TinyCoreLinux? It extracts out to 17-ish MB. I need it 16MB or less.

Re: PCSX ReARMed - Compile Errors

I used to have this compiled on Raspbian (sd card failed) and for some reason any time I have tried to compile it since, it has not worked. Followed many different versions of instructions and got nothing. Used others recompiled images and they don't even work as half as good as when I compiled my o...

Can you update the OS or is the image with Ethernet the latest update? I only ask as this thread is old.

Re: Trouble with sharing my wireless internet connection.

No I haven't tried that yet as I don't have another crossover cable. I don't really think I could of ruined it but their is always that possibility. I am just trying to narrow down what it could be. I see all the leds blink on my PC's lan and Raspberry Pi so I am just gonna assume it has a connectio...

Trouble with sharing my wireless internet connection.

I am using a laptop with Windows 7 to share my internet connection with my Raspberry Pi. It was working with the old wheezy image plug and play and no config. Now with Raspbian R1 and R3 I can't seem to get it working again. My setup is wireless set to shared via lan on my Windows laptop. I am using...

Re: Using a raw TFT LCD panel

They have some pretty cheap screens here https://www.adafruit.com/category/105 now, if people didn't see that they have added more Raspberry Pi things. :) I bought the NTSC/PAL (Television) TFT Display - 2.5" Diagonal and it works very well with 3 double A batteries. Also bought the case and stuck t...

Re: Help test the next Debian image (wheezy)

No idea of how much of a noob question this is, but can you add the option of changing the user name on first boot on later images or update?

I used the command 'sudo usermod -l Blah pi' and I get a error saying the process is being used.
