Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

Well I wasn't sure if I could post a link here, but here goes...

https://www.datenreise.de/en/raspberry- ... o-stretch/

I followed this to the letter and it worked a treat for me.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

I think it's all just been a bit unfortunate really, which is a shame. The name of the hardware implies (well it did to quite a lot of my customers) that it's a minor upgrade from the B to the B+ and there was no information to suggest Jesse images wouldn't work. It was unfortunate that I'd read a n...

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

Not sure I'm allowed to post links to other websites on here, but if you google jesse upgrade to stretch you should find it. I just didn't want all the hassle of reinstalling all of the custom software I had on the Jesse image, just to support one feature on the B+ I appreciate the RPi engineer did ...

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

I've finally got my original image working on the RPi3B+ with WiFi

It's a shame all I really got here was that it couldn't be done and how stupid I was for not knowing that it couldn't be done.

Thanks anyway.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

It's obvious that everything would work fine except wifi??

lol

Maybe you should tell that to all the people trying to get it working. It's not just me.

Request to developers - when running update and upgrade on a "retired" OS, please inform the user that it's end of lifed.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

It would have been nice to know at the product launch that there is no wifi if you use Jesse.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

I'm literally starting with Jesse 2017-04-10 and all I've done is update and upgrade

Is there a process I can follow to add Wifi support to Jesse 2017-04-10 ?

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

I've just grabbed the latest stretch image and the wifi works (once the country code was set)

So I'm guessing that proves that Jesse just won't work with WiFi which sucks to be honest, but I guess that's progress.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

so now the SD card doesn't boot on the RPi3B+, I just get the 4 colour screen - I thought that the rpi-update was required to fix that. It did when I ran it before. So it looks like I have to use rpi-update to get the image to boot on the RPi3B+, but I can't use rpi-update because it doesn't allow t...

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

ok, I'll go back to my previous image and try that on my RPi3B as I can't obviously boot it on the RPi3B+ and then try again.

Re: Rpi3B+ Wifi problems.

I'm having the same problem and so are a number of my customers. I'm using a Raspbian image that I was happily using on RPi3B - I've done the update, upgrade rpi-update, etc. so that it actually boots on the Rpi3B+ but nothing I do makes the WiFi work. Is it just not compatible with Raspian? I don't...

Re: USB Isochronous Transfers: What is RPi Status?

Sorry, didn't explain properly. I have a USB 2.0 only device (hi-speed) and the forum post said that hi-speed isochronous wasn't yet implemented. I can control the device without any problems but as soon as I tell it to start sending data over the USB port I get a lot of transferred=0 messages (from...

Re: USB Isochronous Transfers: What is RPi Status?

Hi, Thanks for posting the updated kernel information. I have tried with our application and I get the same result as before. I suspect because I'm using 2.0 isochronous transfer and that hasn't been implemented yet. It's great news that the USB stack is being addressed. Is there a timeframe for the...

Re: Android On RasPi

Why do you keep flogging this dead horse? What does Android have that can't be done with one of the stock Linux distros that are known to work and are well used on the Raspberry Pi? A fully working USB stack?? One can live in hope :-( Won't make any difference - the USB difficulties are at a lower ...

Re: USB Isochronous Transfers: What is RPi Status?

Thank you very much for replying. I am using a 2.0 only device hence why I can't try the 1.1 options I've seen in other posts.

Do you have a timeframe for a release?

Thanks,

USB Isochronous Transfers: What is RPi Status?

Hi all, I have had no replies to my questions on the status of USB isochronous transfers. Can someone within the development team for the kernel please tell me what the official stance is please? Is it recognised that they don't work? If so, is there a plan to support them? Is it within the remit of...

Re: libusb not writing to buffer in isochronous mode

Hi all,

Can I assume from the silence that the USB driver development has stopped? Would I have more luck moving to the dwc2 driver? How would I do that? Any suggestions would be great so I can move my project forward.

Best regards,

Re: libusb not writing to buffer in isochronous mode

Hi all, I'm running the latest of everything and trying to use a libusb based driver that works on other Linux platforms ok. I'm using control and isochronous transfer. The control works just fine. However, looking through the libusb debug output, every isochronous urb comment says transferred=0 Any...
