Re: Anyone in the US get a ship date from Newark (Element/14

My Pi actually shipped on the 3rd after having the delivery date move back and forth like most of you. So even though last week it was re-scheduled for the 5th or 6th time to ship on the 12th it actually shipped ahead of time.

Originally ordered March 20th, should arrive by UPS on the July 6th.

Re: My Element 14/USA ship date is tomorrow, June 28

I'm also hoping that my Pi from Newark will ship today, ordered on March 20th, been showing expected ship date June 28th for a couple of weeks now. Noticed that status changed to received earlier today. I also placed an order with Allied on 29th Feb, nearly a month earlier, its anyone guess when I'l...

Re: Any signs of life from Allied Electronics?

 So all Allied may only need 2 Pis to cover their initial pre-orders  Well 3 actually, maybe What I mean is I placed an expression of interest with Allied.com on Feb 29th, I had a generic email about the Pi at the end of March but no other updates since then. I contacted Allied a few week...

Re: I made a Raspberry PI Laptop

I modified the lapdock I bought so that I can now connect the Pi directly to it. Here are some pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/tatarandrei/RaspberryPiLapdock?authuser=0&feat=directlink . godFather89 I like your adaptation gets rid of all of those ugly cables. I might do this myself. What HDMI co...

Re: Maybe time for an RMA ?

After taking all of those points on board and reading lots of other similar posts, I'm still of the same conclusion that my Pi is not functioning correctly. It took a week or so to order various bits and pieces but below are my results. Not that I didn't have enough cables already with all those pow...

Maybe time for an RMA ?

OK so I've reached the conclusion that my Pi is faulty. Below is a list of power supplies that I've tried. BTW they all power the Pi, but in most cases the Pi crashes, (i.e screen goes blank PWR & OK lights stay lit) after around 2 minutes, the Scosche 4 Port USB works the best I managed to get abou...

Re: Any word from Newark (US/Canada)

Have you checked your order history on Newark.com.

I didn't place an order with Newark until March 20th, but do have a confirmed ship date of June 18th via the website. A lot of Newark ship dates have moved forward from August to June within the last 2 weeks.

Re: Straw poll for home print cardboard case: What printer do you have?

<t>One product you might like to try is a clearview presentation cover, GBC is the brand I am most familiar with but maybe sold under other names, its a bit like an acetate sheet but is frosted and about 15mil thick. You won't be able to print on it with an inkjet but can run it through a laser prin...

I second the idea about a section on the wiki with instructions for users, especially where it is necessary to compile from source.

BTW openarena is in the debian repository and works fine.
