Changing MAC address

Hi, I’ve seen something strange with my Pi 4 and the WLAN MAC address. I use IP address reservation on my router to provide static addresses to connected devices. Over the last few days I have been booting from different, fresh installs of Rasbian Lite (2019-09-26) and noticed I could not connect wi...

Re: VLI firmware v2.0 - powersaving features enabled

Hi, Not sure if I understand why my first flash was unsuccessful but the second attempt worked. The issue wasn't a result of the flashing process, post flash a power cycle would be successful, reboot not. Its moot for me really as it's all working, however two people here had similar if not the same...

Re: VLI firmware v2.0 - powersaving features enabled

Hi, I reverted back to 01370 yesterday afternoon, I've just re-flashed 0137ab to run these trials and found no issues with rebooting ?! Nothing has changed, no updates other than the VLI firmware ?! Reading the thread again it looks as if jcyr found the same. I had tried the previous beta that was p...

Re: VLI firmware v2.0 - powersaving features enabled

Hi, Booting from a PNY SSD, like jcyr I'm having issues with reboot, it will hang with a black screen more times than it will boot, a power cycle is the only fix. My drive enclosure is shows as:- Bus 002 Device 002: ID 2537:1068 Shout if you need anything further.. Edit:- No noticeable difference in...

Hi,

It could be that the ribbon is not seated properly I see the same from time to time, seems to happen even if the camera is static. A disconnect and wipe of the pads fixes it.

Is there a problem with the package python3-ws4py on the Buster repository? Yes, it's broken :/, specifically it's not compatible with python 3.7. There was a patch, but it seems it never got uploaded for some reason. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=903529 It seems Debian removed ...

Hi, Here are a couple of little tools that will resize an image for you, these have the benefit of a) smaller backup sizes b) you can restore your image in different size cards (used space dependent).. Re: Running Raspbian on USB Devices : Made Easy

usb-boot has been updated to allow using the native USB boot capability of a Raspberry Pi 3B+ or a Raspberry Pi 3B that has its OTP bit set. Booting USB devices using an SD card is still the most reliable way to run Raspbian on a USB device (including the Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+). See the original post...

Re: Supertuxkart on Raspberry Pi

Installing version 1.0 from the PPA should be as simple as adding "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/stk/dev/ubuntu disco main" to your sources.list and running "sudo apt update && sudo apt install supertuxkart" so long as you are on Raspbian Buster. If you are on an earlier version of Raspbian, I recom...
