Re: Project Assistance/Suggestion

Everyone thanks for insight. I have ideas...getting to step 2 and beyond is the hard part. All great advice. So I installed, mounted, and booted everything. Raspbian all around, apache2, updated, and now off the internet (it has to go private). I can see the Apache default page from both, and it boo...

Re: share raspberry wifi

You can convert your pi to a dd-wrt router, it's gui will help you get it running as a wifi extender.

Project Assistance/Suggestion

Generic title, but I actually have some serious inquiries with hopes of finding one or more educated suggestions on an overall project. Starting out for fairness, small disclaimer...This is a project idea, I dreamed up. Something to spur my imagination and give me some passion in my field. I say tha...

Re: Using Rpi as a remote display bridge. Ideas?

Two things, I guess: 1.) I've seen some limited success with using it as an Airplay Video Display target. Requires an Apple device, iPad, Macbook, Phone, etc. It's squiffy to say the least. 2.) I examined the same idea...ended up, buying a 10 dollars Monoprice VGA cable that was 50' feet long and go...

Re: Robust Read Only RPi

I'm sure that money is an issue, as are most projects, but you might consider something like: http://www.ns-electric.com/products/energyshield/ This example is for Arduino, I backed them on Kickstarter and bought 5, of which I have sadly only used 2. (if anyone is also looking for one, let me know, ...

Re: Streaming from security camera to Pi

Who makes the cameras?

What kind of stream is it? i.e. MJPEG or H.264?

BitWizard UI LCD 16x2 - i2c

I've got an in-hand, i2c - UI LCD w/ 6 buttons. Works great, only used it for 10 minutes. My project doesn't really need it anymore. A friend was interested, but wants an Adafruit kit built.

Willing to trade for a functional Adafruit LCD w/button to double-swap if necessary.

Thanks.
