The raid will be for data storage... Not planning media streaming or anything... May not even go to 6tb but its nice to have the option! 😆 That hub isn't available in the UK... Which is typical... My reasoning for it is that I've just hired an art studio which is a converted office building and I don't think I'd wanna fork out loads of cash on a fancy render farm for there... it would be awesome as a little render node.... obvs not gonna be the fastest but would much rather a farm of 15 of them running for 2 days than my overpowered pc running for an hour :P would probably be cheaper to run too!!!

Thanx for the response... good to hear I can just set up samba and use that too!! As for the torrents that wasn't going to be on the open elec set up... I'm planning to build a pi NAS and put all the media files on that and also include torrents as part of the set up.... but thats for another time!!...
