Re: uEFI grub2 on Raspberry Pi, Alexander Graf from Opensuse

If anyone is interested, I'm currently adapting the Raspberry Pi UEFI firmware code that Microsoft implemented for Windows 10 IoT to the generic Linaro/TianoCore UEFI codebase: https://github.com/b-man/RaspberryPiPkg I'm mostly doing this for fun and as an opportunity to learn. I've stripped most of...

Re: GPU Support / DirectX Driver

As explained in the release readme.txt (seperate download from iot image), accelerated graphics support for the vc4 is still under development, so it isn't available yet. It will however be available in a future release.

Re: Drivers for Windows 10

Hi, With Windows 10 we've created a Universal Driver model that enables drivers to be created to work with all versions of Windows (Phone, PC and IoT Core!). Re: RPi2 Schematic, Pinout, Documentation

So what do you think will happen if a schematic was to be released and a company makes a near perfect 'clone' of say the Pi2 and sold it for £5. Do you think buyers are still going to rush for the ones sold by the official re-sellers, of course not, they will purchase the £5 units and suddenly the ...

Re: RPi2 Schematic, Pinout, Documentation

Do not give a schematic out, because we all know what will happen. Other companies will bring out fakes or very inferior copies I really don't understand this attitude when we have a device created by a non-profit that is intended to be tinkered with and learned from. If anyone wants to (and has fo...

Re: The Raspberry Pi 2 Q&A thread

Since the new BCM2836 is a Cortex-A7 chip and we know it supports neon (and presumably vfpv4-d32/udiv/sdiv), does this chip also support hardware virtualization? (It would be really cool to run xen on this thing!)

XNU (Darwin) for ARM now available

A developer that goes by the name of winocm has published his port of XNU for the arm architecture on his github page (https://github.com/winocm/xnu).
