Melted SD card

Does anyone know what could cause an SD card to melt on the side facing away from the Pi?

Tips for printing Minecraft worksheet?

Does anyone have any tips for printing off the Minecraft worksheet from the Resources section?
When I print it, the = and + symbols in the code are missing/difficult to read.
I have tried both Chrome and Internet Explorer and printing in colour and black and white.
Any ideas?

Re: Beginners tutorial or guide

Take a look at the robot antenna project on: http://www.raspberrypi.org/hour-of-code This is easy to follow and will get you started lighting an LED using Scratch (this has recently become a much simpler process). For further info go to: http://cymplecy.wordpress.com/2013/04/22/scratch-gpio-version-...

Re: Hour of Code UK

I did the Robot Antenna project last week with a class of teachers (with no programming experience and new to the Raspberry Pi). I would love to see more beginner projects like this.

Re: Scratch in the Classroom

Thanks for all the suggestions. I had already tried reducing the resolution on the Pi - both the app icons and the input/output on the LX terminal window increase but I could not get Scratch to change. The zoom remote is much the easiest solution for me - I can't display the whole Scratch interface ...

Scratch in the Classroom

Does anyone have any tips for making Scratch (from Raspberry Pi and PC) more readable when projected on a wall or screen?
The Scratch blocks can only really be seen from the front row in the classroom.

Looking good...variables and broadcast messages both working.
Planning to demonstrate in class.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Scratch GPIO Version 2

I had already tried that - nothing connected. I have also tried a newer Pi, downloaded latest NOOBs, latest Raspbian, very old Raspbian (each on different SD cards) - no success. However, the example python program works and shows off the PiGlow - so the PiGlow does work. Scratch GPIO works with the...

Re: Scratch GPIO Version 2

Please help - I cannot connect Scratch to the PiGlow. I followed your instructions to connect Scratch to the PiGlow. How do you 'tell your Raspberry Pi that you want to use Pins 3 and 5 for a thing called the I2C bus'. I followed the recantha instructions, but no device is showing up when I type 'i2...
