This is actually a legacy web-wide bug related to IPV4 ip addresses. The problem is that alot of computer networks still use the outgoing ISP IPV4 addressing system which is limited to around 4.2 billion addresses. everytime you reset your modem or your mobile device connects to the web it is given ...
Sorry if this is not the correct place to post as I am lost for ideas on who to ask. I have a series C rev2.1 7" capacitive screen from Waveshare. I have all the RPI's set up to use it properly, however, If I use it as an HDMI screen for my camera, the image is offset to the right! (just enough lef...
There are quite a few typo's in this and the connected articles but what got me the most was the £99 price.
I looked on the site and found it was £119.
I find this rather misleading to readers.
BTW has anyone used this printer and is it really any good?
Sorry but not get any useful search results! I'm looking to buy a cheep entry lever (toy) drone but the camera's are inferior to a Picamera. I have a Zero W and camera sat on my desk that I would like to use as an "Upgrade" to the onboard camera. Can anyone point me to a link that will show me how ...
Screen identification and use. I have a screen from a Sony Experia J which i believe uses MIPI Dsi but is has this tiny connector. MIpidsifix.jpeg Here is a scan of the back with the only identification numbers I can find. screenredux.jpg Is there an adapter that will allow me to use this with the r...
Replying to myself. There's been some discussion about this on my local LUG Mailing List, but I've had problems posting the output of aplay -l after a reboot, so here it is: terry@OptiPlex:~$ aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 1: Device [USB PnP Sound Device], device 0: USB A...
Hi All, I have been working on a dcc commander for my model railway and using the raspberry pi to control it all. It has been surprisingly easy to do so thought I would share my code and circuit in case anyone else was trying to do similar. It is very basic at the minute but does provide enough to ...
In the old days.... Shutdown would not work unless issued as superuser due to unix security settings. shutdown Sends the command to shut down the system but waits for all process to end their tasks. shutdown -h same as above but halts all process before shutdown. sudo shutdown -h now force shuts dow...
Wow, shows how out of touch I am, I didn't know Artic silver made an adhesive version.
I am going to have to buy some for my 3d printer as the stepper drivers had no adhesive with the heatsinks!
I Have used those modules with no problems to drop 12v to 3v6, the pot screw tends to be iffy on them but they are far safer and run at a much lower temp then their linear counterpart. (burnt my hand on a linear module!)
I have the WS2811 set of lights @12v.
I see the arduino uno can operate them by connecting the the neg and sig to the strip (seperate +12 and minus power supply connected to strip with all grounds linked. but can't get a clear understanding of connecting the pi to the strip!
There is as I had to do it on my setup (I haven't had time to do anymore work to it)
Something to do with the Init files but can't remember or find my pi!
Search for auto start demon.
I have tried 4 times installing kodi on 2 different cards. I put them in my pi and they won't play anything. It g goes through the steps of loading a movie. When it gets to 100% the screen goes black then returns to the desk top screen. It's got to be something I'm missing. It's done it 4 times wit...
England or Wales? Run a reasonable size solar panel. Scotland? Run it off the mains. Ireland? Use a waterwheel instead. (Yes I know only NI is part of Britain.) Parallel connected to a wind turbine and your set for life! (I recognise the joke!) Don't use a liner power reducer as they waste alot of ...
I am in the process of building a 3V6 6000mah battery and need to build a charge controller with 8 cell temperature sensor.
Disclaimer: I have no Idea what I'm doing!
What extra components (i2c temperature sensors?) would I need to use the zero as a BMS/charge controller for this pack?
Ok, this is going to get complicated I'm building a FreeLSS 3d scanner and I'm struggling with the electronics. Basically, I need to design a board that can drive two 5V line lasers, and a 12V stepper (using a DRV8825 driver) I've tried looking at the circuit boards on the freelss website, and cant...
I assembled the first of the seven packs yesterday and it came out at 15.3 v! I'm looking to "Underclock" the charging of the "Pack" to 12v at C/10 (thanks by the way for the link as I had been searching all weekend and google just would not show that page) I know there are solar controllers out the...
1, You haven't supplied enough information about the solar panel or the "solar charger controller", so all I can do is guess. I'm guessing it's designed to have a 14.4v NiCd battery attached, and can successfully charge it. But there are lots of different battery technologies, each requiring differ...
I have assembled the battery packs required to build a 14.4v 10.5Ah battery which will run off a solar panel, but I have hit a snag. 1, Can i just connect the 14.4v connection to the solar charger controllers battery port and leave it to manage the charge? 2, Is it possible to connect a secondary ta...
