Pi cable management

Hi I have an awful lot of cables behind my TV for the Pi, HDMI cables, power cables, USB cables e.t.c, and it is starting to get a bit annoying. I have tied cables together e.t.c but its still a mess. Are there any cable management boxes suitable for the Pi so I can tidy it all up? The cables do mak...

Wifi on Pi via WPS

Hi there

I would like to connect my Pi to my home internet via WPS. It does have a wifi dongle hooked up and my router does have a WPS button. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

ultimatepi

It's a sky router if that helps.

Re: Pi's refusing to boot

Hi there

I use HDMI. I changed the config file the other day to get HDMI to work and it did fix it, but for some reason today there was no display of the pi booting. I configured it right, it's just there is no HDMI.

Pi's refusing to boot

Hi there My Pi's just won't boot. The lights flash on the boards to indicate the SD cards are being read, but there is no boot code or anything. I am really confused. They work fine one day, the next they don't work and then they come back to life another day. It's weird. If I can't get them to boot...

Re: No HDMI

Hi there I have managed to fix the issue. The switch was a very similar model to yours where it can have external power if needed. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duronic-HRS1051-Port-Switch-Remote/dp/B00204ENRK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1409843853&sr=8-3&keywords=5+port+hdmi+switch Does anyone know how I fix ...

Re: No HDMI

Hi there

The HDMI channel is automatically detected (I use a HDMI Switch).
Are there other settings in the config that will need to be changed in
order to get HDMI out of the Pi?

I don't think its a dodgy cable, I have used the same brand in a Pi before.

Re: No HDMI

Hi there

The TV is on when I turn the Pi on. It seems that the Pi is reading the SD, but nothing is appearing on the display. Uncommenting the hotplug line I mentioned earlier worked for my Model B, but for some silly reason it's not working for this Pi.

No HDMI

Hi there

My B+ won't seem to display anything through HDMI. I've uncommented
#hdmi_force_hotplug=1 in the config and it hasn't done anything.

Help please!

Re: (Windows) Bluetooth Dongle Not Working

Hi there I do have a Bluetooth dongle in my Pi which looks like the Signalex one and that works fine. I don't think the bluetooth dongle I am trying to use in Windows is faulty, as sometimes the Windows Bluetooth Client will appear but then disappear. I am trying to think if a program is blocking it...

Re: Raspberry Pi camera server - HELP ME!

Hi there Here are the possible issues causing you not to be able to connect: 1. Something is wrong with the Wi-Fi settings of the Pi 2. The Pi has lost Wi-Fi signal (Out of Range) 3. The IP and Port you have put in your browser are wrong I assume the Pi is set up just for your home network? If it is...

Re: What was your first computer?

My first computer was a Windows 98 one, I can't remember the manufacturer of it, I think it might have been custom built. I then had a Dell Inspiron 530 running Vista and now I have a Zoostorm running 8.1

Re: similar credit-card-size PC that runs windows?

Hi there I would suggest getting a Mini Barebones PC off eBuyer. Check the system requirements of the version of Windows you wish to use to see if something like a Raspberry Pi could run it. I know a new development board called the MIPS Creator CI20 is available for some chosen developers, but it's...

Hi there

Not many posts with B+ signature.

I can't really answer the second question. There is such thing as an Access Point, but I'm not sure about AP on Rpi.

Hi there Sorry if this wasn't what you expected. I have tried lots of forums online like toms hardware, I just don't know what to do. Anyway, another issue actually to do with my Pi has now appeared. Basically, the lights on the Pi are on so it's reading the SD, power is coming through, but there's ...

(Windows) Bluetooth Dongle Not Working

Re: Corrupted USB Stick

Hi there

I have managed to fix it. I plugged the stick in another computer and it found it. I then knew it wasn't dead so I ejected it and put it back in the computer I was using. I managed to change the drive letter from E to H and now it works.

Thanks for all your help anyway!

Re: Corrupted USB Stick

Hi I think it was used in a Raspberry Pi, but I ended up removing it as I found out I didn't actually need it. Disk Management shows the USB Stick, but you can't format it or anything from there. Are there any good Windows usb stick repair programs out there which are safe and free that I could use?...

Hi there I had the same issue with the screen flickering on my main Pi a few weeks back. It couldn't cope with two OS's and extra devices even with two hubs connected. Re: Boot issues

Hi there I am not sure how you measure the voltage... Unfortunately, with the case I have, it's designed so once the Pi is in, it stays in. I am worried I could damage the Pi and or case when trying to get it out to test the voltage. It's a Pi Hut 5V 2A PSU, and I haven't reflashed the SD card. ulti...

Boot issues

Hi This evening I tried to boot up my new Pi and it wouldn't. There was a solid red light and sometimes a orange/green light would flicker every so often. There was nothing appearing on the screen, so I tried turning it off at the mains and turning it back on. The issue was still there so I then dec...

Hi there My PSU is the Pi Hut one at 5V (2A) and I have a Wireless Mini Keyboard and Mini Media Centre Remote hooked up with the Wi-Fi dongle so I don't see why it wouldn't be able to cope...
