Re: Desktop (gui) login does not work in buster?

The size of my SD card is 16 GB. I started all over and did nothing before the desktop came up and that worked. Thanks. So now the qiestion is what I dare to do using CLI in a terminal window without jeopardizing the gui login. I would like to create another user and disable remote login for the use...

Re: Desktop (gui) login does not work in buster?

I get the login screen alright, input username first and then password and push login. What happens is that the scŕeen goes black for a while then the prompter comes back and then the login screen again. I am not sure exactly what I have done but I should perhaps start all over and do nothing, not e...

Re: Desktop (gui) login does not work in buster?

I have also created another user with another password, but no luck. I still can login via ssh but not via the gui, with any of the credentials. Personally, I am logging in via the hgui directly with a keyboard having a mousepad and a 7" hdmi screen. Could it be a serial interfacing boot option prob...

Re: Stuck in GUI Login Raspi

I probably have the same problem. I configured Buster from scratch including an empty file named ssh in the boot partition.
I can login via ssh but I cannot login via the desktop gui, whether I specify password required or auto-login in raspi-config.

Re: Stretch to Buster

Did you try to login via ssh pi@ip-address ?
I have similar problem, maybe the same: I cannot login via the desktop gui, if I specific automatic login in Raspi-config or not, but I can login via ssh.
