Re: compiling & installing ngspice circuit simulator

Thanks, got it working, needs several hours to install still...
Needed several dev packages to be installed also.
And the readme.rar is not a rar but a txt named as rar.. was a little confusing ;)

2 more or less interesting mono programs.

12blocks is (starting to) support the raspi (with mono) http://onerobot.org/12blocks-and-raspberry-pi-rpi/ VBBExpress (free version) runs on the pi as well with mono. http://www.virtualbreadboard.com/Main.aspx?TAB=2 Works on the hardfloat mono as well, with visual basic dll installed also. http://ww...

Re: Insane RPi overclocking...

Of course its fake, but even so, what really is the point of overclocking? Its the software that makes a computer go slow. Programmers get lazy, linking enormous libraries for maybe just one simple function . Want any computer to go fast.. program in asm and don't use libraries. Where are the days t...

Copy the fat part (config.txt, cmdline.txt, start.elf, bootcode.bin (or just all of them) from a rasbian image to the old image.

Re: GPIO GUI (in gambas)

Done a lot of testing I2C seems to work for many devices ; http://i1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa383/cwroos/2013-08-08-142925_891x530_scrot.png Did some updates on the SPI. Actually the scripts are a bit to high level, was actually my intention to write a GUI for wiringpi and got a little out of con...

MSP430 on a GertBoard

The GertBoard is a great add on for the PI Its kind of like a breadboard with males instead of females. You can wire it the way you want and what you need. It comes with a Atmega chip, but that's not an arduino tho, which is even better actually. (no (buggy) bootloader ect.) Well is there something ...

Re: Is my Pi broken? Or am I doing something wrong?

Getting the latest software is always a good idea..
But make sure the power supply is at least 2A.
These kind of problems often appear when the power is to weak ..

Re: Dosbox + Win3.11 problems

Well it was a year ago but the answer is simple..
Don't copy the win files from without DosBox.
Now you have to edit all the .INI files within DosBox with a DOS editor Q or QEdit
And then just save them again in DOS.
If its a win zip file you downloaded, then unzip it inside DosBox.

Re: GPIO GUI (in gambas)

I get /usr/bin/env: gbr3: No such file or directory on soft float jessie and hard float raspbian (wheezy). Yes it seems it does need gambas runtime (gbr3) That's why I made install packages in Gambas supposing that would work. Hmm.. well I suppose I should test it on a fresh raspbian SD card..........

Re: GPIO GUI (in gambas)

And as a side-effect it is an introduction to another GUI development tool for the RPi - I hadn't heard of Gambas before. Gambas actually was the first one I found and got working, even I'm actually a C++ programmer. Basic was a little struggle but I learned ;) Now there is a mono hardfloat, monoDe...

A little update on the GUI Created install packages. Now there's also a command line util to run the scripts written and tested and saved in the GUI (so you can use the scripts in your own program) http://i1195.photobucket.com/albums/aa383/cwroos/2013-07-22-162137_646x430_scrot.png https://github.co...

GPIO GUI (in gambas)

Wrote a GUI to control the GPIO (and I2C , SPI ) for testing. Its written in gambas https://github.com/CWRoos/GPIO The executable is GPIO.gambas https://github.com/CWRoos/GPIO/blob/master/GPIO.gambas Click on Raw to download. Needs to be run as root ; sudo ./GPIO.gambas needs wiringpi to be installed
