Re: Introducing PIXEL desktop: new Raspbian release

Interesting. I run/built/use a Pi3 at work for our Photo Lab. It's a surprisingly capable GIMP and Krita machine. I set up it with Ubuntu Mate for the techs but couldn't help put try this out to compare the two. Couple things: Performance is significantly better on GIMP, editing large photo's, makin...

Krita On The Pi 3?

https://krita.org/en/ I've set up a Raspberry Pi 3 since launch day, at work, functioning as a GIMP machine. (It works better than you would expect.) I would very much like to add Krita to it as well. I've been unable to install it due to dependency conflicts. Does anyone on the Krita team frequent ...

Fantastic video. I wish the Foundation would post this on the front page. My RPi2 has this and I consider it one of the coolest "features" I've seen. I learned more about electronics through this mistake and I'm really grateful because of it.

Re: 5ghz wifi adapter?

Interested to see if the 2 changes the equation any. The 2.4 around my apartment is almost unusable. The 5 is almost mandatory at this point. I don't expect it to be blazing fast AC but a good robust N would solve so many problems.

Suggestions For Dual Band N/AC WiFi USB

The 2.4 where I live, apartment, is almost unusable. I need a small compact 5 either N/AC for my forthcoming B+. What do you guys like for reliable transfer and set up?

Bonus: if it has Bluetooth LE built into the same dongle.

Incredibly disappointed well!!

I thought by now we would have a perfect combo unit to plug into one USB. Why can't that market see that something like this would sell incredibly well?
