Re: How many projects does it make sense to combine into one Pi?

I develop and test on separate Pi's then combine on to a "Central" pi if possible.. Only reason I have separate Pi's is needing to use the same GPIO for multiple projects. Following this Andreas Spiess youtube I now use Docker to separate the "server" stuff on to one Pi. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: PiHole perforamance effect on non-PiHole Pi.

I'm running PiHole on a Raspberry Pi B 1.2. This was the model released back in 2012 with 256mb ram, 24 pin header and no mounting holes. There is no noticeable difference to PC's, tablets and other pi's. If anything they run faster by not having to load the adds. Only thing I'd advise is that the P...

Pimoroni were saying their heat sinks only drop the CPU temp by 2 degrees.

I'm using their FanShim and it's dropped the temp by 30 degrees. Low profile and quiet.

On a standard built Pi you can attach an LED to GPIO14 (TX) pin to show when Linux is running. Seems to work reliably

Re: where to buy rpi zero 1.3 for builing a cluster

Try Pimoroni. They ship worldwide.
https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/raspberry-pi-zero

You'll have to place an order for one Zero per day.

Including P&P to UK, that would make each Pi Zero £7.16 which is still a fair bargain.

I took the case off an old Blackberry USB wall adapter. Took an extension cord, cut the socket end off, soldered the blackberry power supply directly on to the cord, placed the power supply in a small "project box" drilled with a few ventilation holes. Been working a treat for 2 years. Have placed a...

Is the POE adapter actually available? This board will be available on launch day" In...

Re: Reading ac mains current with sen0211 with adc mcp3008

I've recently completed a project using the SCT-013-000 sensors. After weeks of trying to read the sensors using a raspberry pi and an mcp3008 (also an MCP3424 ) I gave up and used an arduino nano clone (about $2). The Nano was working within hours using simple code. I then connected the Nano to the...
