Re: Run program at Boot

Hi So first question is what are you expecting the program to do ? Are you expecting any output on the screen. If you want to run it the background then you can use rc.local, So do don't need the sudo command because rc.local is already running as root. But you do need to move the & to the end of th...

Hi.

First off you have provided to little information for anyone to be able to help you , you need to provide much more detail about what you are trying to do and what protocols your app is using.

also weiopi has its own support forum.

I got it working. I had to add the timezone to the crontab. TZ=America/New_York thanks, At least you now have it working, but would still like to know the answers to my questions , have used cron on raspbian , jessie, stretch and now buster with my time zone set via raspi-config to UK time and this...

Oh guys, I think I am stupid as fuck now, I just realized the cable wasn't fully plugged into the router.... Sorry for wasting your time so far. Now I have two different local IP, so I think this means the Pi is getting connection from both router and wifi. Given the lower metrics when running "rou...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero W: how to connect to ethernt with more priority than wifi?

So with your USB Ethernet device connected to the pi and the cable connected between the USB device and the router/switch , do you get any lights to show there is a connection on the router/switch end or the USB end ?

assuming pi is powered and booted.

Re: Problem connecting to WiFi network o Rpi 4.

I have the exact same problem on My Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB variant, did you get any solution yet. I don't think it's an error with the ipv6 driver, rather something is preventing the raspi to communicate with the DHCP, thus failing to get a proper connection. If you are having trouble connecting to a ...

If you gave us the full error message it might help , but I am guessing its a temporary DNS error , which suggests you don't have a working internet connection.

please post the results of the following commands

Code: Select all

ifconfig
cat /etc/resolv.conf
cat /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf

Hi.

looking at you images you definitely have some poor solder joints were the solder does not seem to have flowed on the the PCB,

I suggest you re-flow them making sure to heat the pin and the pad to get the solder to flow correctly.

Re: Crontab script error

So the first thing is to include the full path to your file " ip.txt " were ever it occurs in your script. as I said in my last post you should also note that cron runs in a different environment to the command line so you need to include full paths when accessing files in the script . then assuming...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero W: how to connect to ethernt with more priority than wifi?

So the first question is does you pi recognised the USB networking device correctly ? So you can test this for yourself, Does it enumerate? If a device doesn't work, then the first step is to see if it is detected at all. There are two commands that can be entered into a terminal for this: lsusb and...

Re: Reaction timer with digital read out project

Here's a simple untested program using 1 switch and 1 LED. pressing the button the first time starts the cycle , once released there is a random time before the LED goes out , you press the same button in reaction to the LED going out, and you get a reaction time as the result. import RPi.GPIO as GP...

Try running the upgrade again using these commands

sudo apt update
sudo apt full-upgrade
if you used a different upgrade command it may not have pulled in al the dependences with the new programs.

Hi.

Raspbian Jessie was replaced by Raspbian Stretch in 08-2017 , which its self was replaced by Raspbian Buster in 06-2019,

So starting over with the latest Raspbian Buster would almost certainly solve your problem.

Re: pi 4 32GB sd card doesn't work.

All my SDcard have been checked with f3write/f3read, and none of them have reported any error. The only strange part is that the read/write speed were very slow compared to what Samsung advertised for their EVO+ (maybe 10MB/s reading and less than 3MB/s writing) I think your last statement might ex...
