Re: Lightweight python motion detection

Hi, inspired by this nice disscussion and code examples I have written a similar script for a surveillance job. It combines also some the advanced techniques of picamera 1.8 into the game. I hope you enjoy that. Regards Greg #!/usr/bin/python # This script implements a motion capture surveillace ca...

Re: Jessie: How to run a script AFTER boot is done?

I still can't get my raspberry to perform a boot task that was simple under Wheezy; email me my ip address after boot. I'm fine with learning systemd, I'm also ok that things are a bit more complicated that editing rc.local, but this really is a pain.... I'll show you the steps I use: First of all I...

Re: New features for raspistill command

Personally waiting more on the 60fps functionality (as you might have guessed :D ) This would make the camera board instantly killer for some sports related projects, as you need more frames to really capture most sports movements. I too will donate a ferrari like BPK for this functionality to arriv...

Re: New features for raspistill command

Kinda ironic that this type of development is closed of to the crowd, while the raspberry pi leans so heavily on the crowd to exist. Can issues like this be prevented or circumvented in the future with future iterations of the Pi?

Is there support for 60 frames yet? If not, I would like to recommend 60fps.

Re: Which DVB-C USB Tuner

You can find the firmware on this page: http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/PCTVS%20...%20-nano_520e There is this part: Firmware The DRX-K demodulator requires a firmware file that must be uploaded by the driver: dvb-demod-drxk-pctv.fw This file can either be downloaded by the get_dvb_firmware script...

Re: Which DVB-C USB Tuner

Got the PCTV 510e working with the firmware posted here:

http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-C_USB_Devices

Just copy that file into /lib/firmware and upgrade raspbian to the latest version.

Only one that is available here now is the Hauppauge PCTV Quatro Stick (510e), which seems to be relatively new

Yes I have, but most of these tuners are for sale anymore here in Europe. So while it's nice to have a list of tuners, it would be splendid if there was a list of tuners that are for sale today....

Which DVB-C USB Tuner

Does anybody use a DVB-C USB tuner with the Raspberry Pi yet? Where I live the DVB-C signal is uncoded, so no CI+ smartcard or anything is needed, but I can't seem to find out which Tuner will work with the Pi?

Re: 720p60 720p30

What does the camera have to do with the gpu? Maybe I'm asking a dumb question here, but I just want the camera to do 60fps (or even more). I don't need a preview with that. Does the GPS accelerate and process the camera feed?

Re: 1.8 TFT LCD add-on shield board v2

You're welcome. I'm looking for another tip however: does anybody know whether it is possible to scale the X GUI? 160x128 is a bit too small to do anything, but if we could scale it by 2 you would get 320x256. As 320x240 looks workable on slightly bigger screens that would be very useful! And yes, I...

Note it is important that you add the above on the end of the existing line, not a new line underneath. You have other fonts choices - MINI4x6 works well on this screen.

Thanks for the great screen Texy! You make it easy to connect and explore. One question though. I tried the ins...
