Re: RAW output information

Looking at the code again, I see I did the right thing for IMX219. I've amended OV5647 to do the same and only look for the 4 char string - pushed to the same github repo.
ok i picked it up, thanks, now it can decode my omnivision and sony files to tiff properly. goodbye to raspi_dng!

Re: RAW output information

Why are you worrying about raspi_dng anyway? dcraw has been able to natively process the JPEG+raw files produced by Pi since at least 1.470, which appears to be 13 Feb 2015. If you grab my hacked version of dcraw from https://github.com/6by9/RPiTest/tree/master/dcraw, then that version has been upd...

Re: help! long exposure night photos timing out

yeah i used iso800 + --ss 5900000 to make this video (omnivision board + 120 degree fisheye). there is really bad light pollution here so i'm not sure how that exposure would work under truly dark skies... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6tN2D_9QmE the two starbursts at the side appear to be some k...

Re: Raspistill when photographing 5,9s lasts up to 36 second

" i guess i could monitor the images and kill/restart raspistill with a new shutter speed as night falls." Why not do that, take the average value of the photo and set the values for raspistill including iso, shutter speed, ev or brightness, mode eg night, auto etc? that's what i'm currently doing....

Re: Raspistill when photographing 5,9s lasts up to 36 second

i would use the burst/timelapse mode except for the fact that it seems to not want to hold the shutter open for more than 1/10 of a second or so if -ss is not specified. the application is for an all sky camera where the exposures vary from 200uS to 5.9s throughout the day, so letting raspistill man...

Re: Raspistill when photographing 5,9s lasts up to 36 second

i had the same question about the exposure lengths - would it make sense to have an option to just turn off all of those pre-frames if the exposure length is > some threshold? if you need to capture one frame and throw it away, can it be done at a shorter exposure? and for night photography AWB seem...

Re: RAW output information

Looking at https://github.com/illes/raspiraw, raspi_dng hasn't been updated since 2 June 2013. Checking the firmware history, the Bayer order was fixed on 22 May 2013, so I doubt raspi_dng takes that into account. ah - that's the issue. Why are you worrying about raspi_dng anyway? dcraw has been ab...

Re: RAW output information

i haven't specified a flip - the image orientation looks OK as is - the CFA file has same orientation as the jpeg that's produced and seems to be "right side up". at any rate hacking raspi_dng to change the filter orientation tag in the dng header seems to work; dcraw debayers the image with proper ...

Re: RAW output information

regarding the bayer matrix - i can see that the DNG files written out by raspi_dng have "Filter Pattern: BG/GR" as announced by dcraw. however, on my omnivision NoIR camera module, as far as i can tell the filter pattern needs to be GB/RG (established by taking a daylight photo thru an IR cut filter...

Re: Bluetooth CambridgeSiliconRadio : Pairing makes Kernel c

are there any updates on this issue? seems like it could be caused by bogus/counterfeit/grey market CSR chips? i see some checkins over here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/177 but i assume that if one is running the latest raspbian image then you have those changes. i also tried to upd...
