Re: Hamachi monitoring:

Sorry, Hamachi is a VPN easy solution from Logmein. It is very usefull application to connect to the Rasp, where ever it is located when we do not know the IP addresss. Hamachi create a virtual IP address which from the client (PC-MAC) it can be connected directly. https://secure.logmein.com/product...

Re: Raspberry/batterie/Solaire

Wifi or network reconnection:

Hello, I face some trouble with my router reset or switch off-on and the raspberry Pi is already connected. Seems there is automatic reconnection from the Rasp after the router restart. In Wifi it's never work, in cable, sometimes. Any tricks except the daily reboot I'm currently using with Cron tas...

Re: Raspberry Pi weather station thing

Hi, thinking again about your request, I don t think it is good idea to plug the Rasp to the external sensor or you'll have to put very long wires as these sensors must be outside and high if possible. Moreover, put the Rasp outside is not an option also due to the consumption or need large solar pa...

Re: Raspberry Pi weather station thing

Hello, I built a weather station 15 years ago from scratch and it is not only sensor and electronical but also mechanical, which is not the easier part. I used some simple sensors for wind direction (potentiometer without the lock), an ILS + magnet for the speed wind. These solution are very easy to...

Re: Network stop work after days:

Thanks Trevor.

It is something I looked already and still lot of space free on the SD card.

But I'll remove them to see. There is some tools also to automatically remove the log after period of time, I can try.

Re: Raspberry Pi Home Automation Ideas...

Hi, I connect my Pi to a weather station, linked to my website: http://weather.solarcamlab.com With Pywws SW is it not too difficult but the rendering on the website is not very attractive.... I'm looking for something better. Also, it is configure as proxy server for connexion out of home. Laurent

Re: Network stop work after days:

Thanks for the idea. I'll check.
Now, what is strange is the dis-connexion is faster and faster.

The first time it is after 3 weeks, then 1 week, then, later, even after 1h and it is dead.

Re: Weather Stations and software

Hi,

I'm using successfully my Rasp Pi with pywws software.
It took some times to make it work but now it is ok, connected to a compatible WS1060.
Demo live page here:

http://weather.solarcamlab.com

Later, I'll describe my installation.

Laurent
