Re: mpd+sshfs+autofs=superjukebox!

Hello ! Sooo... I followed your tutorial and everything seems to work fine (the "ls" command properly lists the remote content) except that at the "mpc update" I get a "error: Connection reset by peer" . And the second time I try I get a "error: Connection refused" . I googled my problem and tried m...

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

Me again :D So, using the mask option will do, I think. But, before that I would like to use the full frame image... wich is not the case when using motion. If you make a snapshop using raspistill at the same definition as you are using on motion, you will notice a bigger field of view. Do you think...

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

I'm using 768x432 (16:9) wich gives me the widest field of view using motion MMAL, but not the biggest. If I use 4:3 resolutions, the field of view narrows... With Raspistill I can get a full frame image (with the biggest field of view) using 3456 × 2592 (4:3) resolution. Does anyone managed to reac...

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

I also droped the resolution because of CPU abuse (especialy on the the other pi playing back the MJPG stream via VLC :? ). So I'm using 768x576 (0.75 ratio), wich, if I use RASPISTILL to take a picture gives me a larger field of view... How would it be possible to use maximal field of view using mo...

Re: Motion - MMAL camera

Hi !

Would it be to much to ask for a little step by step tutorial or if, by asking, I suggest I would not be able to make it work anyway ? :D

Even just global hints would do...

Thanks !

Re: Camera streaming delay

I'm not familar with the syntax but it seems like in the receiving Pi, you are writing the video to a file "buffer" and then reading it back? If so, that is probably much of your delay, so it would be better if you could avoid writing to a file. Yep, and adding to that I had a MPC/USB DAC problem c...

Camera streaming delay

Hi ! So I finally got my camera stream working from Pi to Pi, but I notice about 20 sec delay with the stream. This is not ideal as I wanted to use the camera to be used "realtime". My configuration : Camera=Pi-------router----------Pi=Screen. The command I launch : Stream Reciever : nc -p 5001 -l >...

Re: From Pi to Pi camera streaming

Here's the exact cut and pasted command lines that I am using in case you can see any difference Sender: pi@raspbi1 ~ $ raspivid -t 999999 -o - | nc 192.168.1.87 5001 Well, if I use this line, the camera red led does not turn on and the program quits without error avec a few second. The difference ...

Re: From Pi to Pi camera streaming

Nope, not at all. I tried to direcly link the lubuntu desktop with the Pi and manually configuring the IP's.. But still no change. Now I'm back to my original network configuration and I'm focusing on making the streaming work from one Pi to the other. So I launch both command : Pi1 raspivid -t 9999...

Re: From Pi to Pi camera streaming

Yep. the "README" file... Ok, now I do not have the error anymore... But I have no video feed neither. I still believe I'm in fault, but I start to wonder if my router (livebox) is doing something wrong... I tried on my Lubuntu desktop with nc -l 5001 | mplayer -fps 31 -cache 1024 - And it do...

From Pi to Pi camera streaming

Ok, I'm quite new to this, please be nice. Yesterday I got my two brand new RaspPi and one camera board. I did all the updates and followed all the steps given here . I'm trying to feed the stream of the Camera Bord (Pi1)to another Pi (Pi2) in the network. So I followed the steps : To view th...
