Rafaband, I documented using the JavaFX overlay for the built-in Java 8 that comes with Raspbian in this project guide:

Doh! When upgraded to ejdk1.8.0_65, I started seeing this issue. A JavaFX app I am working on would run just fine with the built-in JRE; 1.8.0-b132. But then I needed javafx.scene.control.ButtonType which came out in JavaFX 8u40. Hence the need to upgrade. But using ejdk1.8.0_65 or ejdk1.8.0_51 woul...

Java Powered Time Lapse Application

I wrote a Java powered time lapse application for the Raspberry Pi camera.

This version uses an LCD with keypad as the input controls.

Thank you, northernguardian. Your suggestion for static IP address via WiFi configuration worked on a Raspberry Pi model B revision 1 that I am using for a lizard enclosure.
