Re: fldigi working - HAM Radio

Has anyone managed to get RTS assigned to one of the GPIO pins for PTT? I cannot seem to do that, and the VOX circuit I bought isn't compatible. It activates the relay and puts the radio in transmit as soon as I power it up. So, I want to use the onboard GPIO pin that can be assigned as RTS, but I n...

Re: fldigi working - HAM Radio

Hello. I am successfully using then Raspberry Pi model 2 with both fldigi and qsstv but I still need to get PTT working. I installed bw_tools and the git programs but I cannot use gpio_???? as the system tells me it is not installed. As such I cannot assign RTS nor CTS to one of the GPIO pins. Not t...

Finding the Audio Driver

Hello. I am missing something basic, it seems. I have the Pi2 with the Cmedia USB audio dongle, but I can't figure out what to tell other programs when they need to be manually configured for audio. Fldigi found the card, but I am trying to get QSSTV working and frankly don't remember where to find ...

Wait, don't answer that! I missed the link you provided earlier, and I thank you for that!

Re: GPIO use with Fldigi

Thanks. Are there pins on the GPIO strip that correspond to sd/rd/cts/rts then?

GPIO use with Fldigi

Hello Genius Pi programmers (and barely literate users like myself :D) ! I am setting up a Pi2 for use with Amateur Radio digital modes, using a program called Fldigi. I have it installed, working very well, but there are some issues I need to resolve before it's complete. Namely, I need to be able ...

Re: Portable Power Source.

How about a 6v gel cel battery with a 5v 3-tab regulator? Maybe set up to be kept charged up via a small solar cell?

Also, what 32G SD card would you guys think is a good one to use?

Re: The official "Are they nearly here yet?" thread.

<t>I can't wait! But how will you distribute them to us Yanks? REALLY looking forward to setting one up for digital Ham Radio use, and I have already warned my grandson Nik that he will be getting one to learn programming. That means old Grandpa (me) will have to go learn C since when I got my BS in...

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

<t>My plan for my first RPi is to use it with Amateur Radio software (TWPSK) and interface it to an Icom 746-Pro with a Rigblaster NOMIC. I will most likely mount the RPi on a piece of Golden or Red Oak (lacquered of course) and cover it with a copper or brass mesh to provide RF shielding. May use H...

Re: Introduce yourself!

<r>Hi there. I have been following your development and am really going to be happy when I can get one of these cool little devices. I am an Amateur Radio Operator (Extra-Class KI7AY) and want to use software developed by my fellow had Ted Weir (WA0EIR) to run digital mode communications on one of m...
