Re: Raspberry Pi Hosting and Website Creation?

Okay true... I like what I'm reading here and I'm going to hold on to these but what I want my end result to be is a site like this:

http://www.dingleberrypi.com/

How did he manage that? Did he just have to rent out a domain name??

Re: About to order a pi, can you check my parts?

Well this is coming from one new pi user to another: I've had my RPi for about two months now: All I needed was a simple 4-port usb hub (list of acceptable usb hubs found at: http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals) Simple mouse (wireless) and I use a wired keyboard. To power the pi I have an andr...

Re: Kali GNU/Linux Password Changed on me

God didn't change your password (well, he could have - I haven't actually asked him), and neither did your SD card adapter. It's possible you have introduced a hardware with the change in adapter - SD card adapters have been known to cause problems. Are you using SSH? If not, is your keyboard using...

Kali GNU/Linux Password Changed on me

I had a standard adapter and I changed it to an adafruit slim RPi adapter. I have been managing it through VNC all day an...

Re: SSH through USB or self-made hotspot??

Ssh over an AP works quite well from a laptop but for some reason not from an android phone. So first to see whether it's possible do: sudo apt-get install iw once thats done do: iw list That'll spit out loads of stuff but somewhere you should see something like: Supported interface modes: * IBSS *...

SSH through USB or self-made hotspot??

Hey Folks, I am running Pi Model B and Kali Linux (xcfe window manager, gnome-based). Is it possible for me to utilize the wireless adapter (Ralink RT5370) to ssh without there being a wireless access point? If not, what do you suggest using to ssh/VNC via usb with my ipad? What do I need to install...

[SOLVED] VNC - Not an easy setup for me!

THANK YOU!!! The answer was in the xstartup file! For anyone who references this thread, xstartup should be for Kali: "#!/bin/sh # Uncomment the following two lines for normal desktop: #unset SESSION_MANAGER #exec /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc [ -x /etc/vnc/xstartup ] && exec /etc/vnc/xstartup [ -r $HOME/....

VNC - Not an easy setup for me!

Hey everybody! I am new to the forums! Lets see... I have a Model B RPi with Kali Linux (it's always been a personal favorite distro of mine).
