I got a message a week ago from @xtramural that he got his ITDB02-3.2S working with the SPI interface circuit and the sainsmart32fb driver. Despite it's name pygame.display.flip() does not flip an image - it's just an updating mechanism so other steps will need to be taken to invert the image before blitting it.
