Re: Hosting control panel ? HTTP/FTPS/clients

Haha ok mister ! I'll take care about performances issues ;)
For sure it can be 800% more power with a x86 hardware ! The Pi can be a good start to test those server managers... humm, or a virtualbox :p

Thx for this contribution :)

Re: Hosting control panel ? HTTP/FTPS/clients

Thx for your answer. Some look like cool. And about "liability insurance", a tick in a box "The gracious amateur hosting service I subscribe to can crash or be hacked without my administrator being held responsible for the damage, and make sure I make my own backups preventively" can be enough ? :ro...

Hosting control panel ? HTTP/FTPS/clients

Hey! I've trying to find something useful to manage a RPi as a webserver for several people. The goal is to have a control panel easy to manage few accounts, for people who want to work on their website. FTPS/SSH for file transfer, HTTP with Let's Encrypt if possible. Everything can be host on a sub...

hostapd wifi usb key, no headache

Hey! I'm looking for a "cheap" USB WiFi key, may be with antenna, for the RPi. There's a lot of topics about this, compatibility problems, need to compile drivers... So it will be HOSTAPD for the AP wifi, and of course is there a magic chipset to : - host AP with Hostapd - no need to compile - no ne...

Rah certbot or letsencrypt are not in Raspbian repo... no luck!
I hope compiling from source will be ok !

Or have you tried certbot-auto script ?
https://certbot.eff.org/docs/install.html#certbot-auto

Let's Encrypt - which client ?

Hey! More and more softwares need a trust certificate... Now I'm using my own self-signed certificates with Apache2, Nginx, mail servers... So Let's Encrypt looks like cool for that ! But I've tried to find a cool and light client to generate LE certificates on Rapsbian 8 Jessie... I'm not sure whic...

Re: rpi-update : crash before end

Thx for your answer! But I think I'm not sure about that... I see on a new Raspbian install on another RPi, kernel 4.4.21 is given with the latest jessie-lite.img everything is update/dist-upgrade, then with rpî-update the firmware was updated to 4.4.26 So for me, rpi-update is needed today ;) On th...

Re: Raspi as firewall

You need a 2nd LAN.
May be a wired usb lan
Or a wireless usb wlan

Next, you can find a distribution like IPFire for example. Webinterface to admin everything needed by a human...
If you own a RPi3 with wlan, be sure the wlan driver in IPFire is ok to have wifi working...
ipfire.org
