samba works for sharing files from windows but not ps3, ps3 is dlna server which is different.

if its possible to pick your brains more though....will samba shares also work on PS3? not as an actual media extender or encoder just as an actual file network? just it pick up a normal network?

so if u were then to add a GUI, would this auto boot once pwoered or command line t get it running everytime?

or do u have like a autoexec.bat sysem in windows where it will auto run commands on startup of the system to do what u want...for example start the gui with network
