Ran through the setup - all went fine. Ports opened in the router / and pings to www.google.com on pi so internet is working. M...

Any chance of a special lamp install but with the latest php 7 included.

Would be a great simple way for developers to test there existing php code.

Re: worldwide number of pi servers

Pi 1 after 18 months of hard work now sits unused.

Pi 2 is underneath a book case 24/7 just running samba for 3tb of usb storage via plex server.

Need to find something for the pi1 todo.

Re: DietPi | Minimal Raspbian. Optional "ready to run" softw

Working perfect now thanks. "blkid" is a new one on me. I normally just use df and modify /etc/fstab with sba1, etc rather than using UUID codes. See the benefit though. Spotted the error of my ways in seconds. The missing HD was in ntfs format and not ext4 - could of swore I formatted to ext4 5 mon...

Re: Prevent SD-Card Corruption

100 % fix is to run everything from a laptop hardrive. Had corruption about once per week. Installed os to hd and 18 months later 24/7 not a single problem.

Re: Reliability of Raspberry Pi in 24/7 applications

Mine was running my home network and all services for over 12 months 24/7 with a reboot maybe once a month. On a SD card all I got was constant corruption but when I moved everything to run from a laptop HD it was rock solid.

Upgraded to a cubietruck now but raspberry was great.

Re: RaspberryPi, Two Domain Names, Two Wordpress Sites?

I do something similar but wanted to keep things as simple as possible. 2 sites on 1 server just stored in different directors. Registered 2 free mooo.com names then on the main index.HTML page at root I did : <html> <head> <script language="javascript"> var href = document.location.href; if (href.i...

Sorry but no. Bittorrent sync needs to be installed on both machines to work.

Still using here with no issues.

Re: Fetch files from a seedbox

I use bittorrent sync. Works perfect and has built in hash checks to make sure transfers where OK.

I had loads of errors when I setup lftp to transfer files.

Re: MiniDLNA disconnects

Maybe not same reason as mine, but when i had disconnect issues found out it was because i setup cron to refresh the library every hour. If done in a middle of an tv show it would lose the connection. Changed it now to just do it at 7am and 17pm before i come home from work and perfect ever since. R...
