Re: Robot camera, view on command line?

There is an example of a Raspberry Pi Robot controlled by a mobile phone, with code, for the GoPiGo. It uses the Raspberry Pi camera and the Raspberry Pi, and can be viewed first person through a browser (including a computer or a mobile phone) re. http://www.dexterindustries.com/GoPiGo/projects/pyt...

Give Your Raspberry Pi Smart Vision

We recently wrote a tutorial on how to use Google Cloud Vision on the Raspberry Pi with a Raspberry Pi Camera. I thought the tutorial might interest the community! It's here: http://www.dexterindustries.com/howto/use-google-cloud-vision-on-the-raspberry-pi/ The tutorial covers how to use Google Clou...

Re: (ASK) How to intergrate Pi and Brick Pi with Telegram bo

Are you referring to this tutorial for integrating the BrickPi, Raspberry Pi, and Thingspeak? ( http://www.dexterindustries.com/BrickPi/projects/thingspeak-temperature-log/ ) If all you want to do is send an e-mail with the temperature, that should be pretty easy to do with Python. You can take the ...

Re: Using Grove pi + sensors

Hey Jarun, I'm John, and I founded Dexter Industries. The GrovePi+ ( http://grovepi.com ) is our design and we work with Seeed to support it with extensive software libraries ( https://github.com/DexterInd/GrovePi/ ) and to keep the design up to date. You can purchase this through Seeed, and you can...

Have you looked at the GoPiGo?

It's a Raspberry Pi robot. I don't know if it would fit the size parameters for the rescue competition, but I'd really like to know!

Re: GoPiGo - smbus - No module found

Hey AdrianBoeh, not a problem at all and welcome to the Raspberry Pi and GoPiGo! I think there's an easy solution, two possible ways to get you up and running quickly: 1). We have a startup procedure on our website spelled out here: http://www.dexterindustries.com/GoPiGo/getting-started-with-your-go...

Re: GoPiGo - smbus - No module found

I think we have a solution for this, if the problem is the kernel. If you've updated the kernel, in addition to the update, upgrade, dist-upgrade, we had to do the following to get some hardware to work. Open your config.txt file: sudo nano /boot/config.txt add the following at the bottom: "dtparam=...

Re: GrovePi or arduino

No problem! 1). You should try with any case you're using. Some of the new slim cases leave enough room that the GrovePi might fit over it. 2). I saw that. With some of our first model board designs, it might be a good idea to add some electrical tape to prevent shorting. Or anything that's non-cond...

Re: GrovePi or arduino

Depends on what you're looking for. But the GrovePi is about the easiest way to hook up temperature sensors and motion sensors. You won't have to worry about wiring or the electronics side, the sensors just plug in. There are examples in Python that walk you through how to use the sensors here that ...
