Re: 3B+ PoE pin description / documentation

In the past we have developed our own PoE+ boards / hat with auxiliary connections for the Raspberry Pi. (incl. a switched USB port, 7v - 9v 2A switchable power supply and two switchable auxiliary connectors). Developing one for the 3B+ will cost us significantly less than USD$ 49,95 quoted above. E...

3B+ PoE pin description / documentation

The 3B+ has arrived on my desk and I am really happy about the prospect of getting PoE on the 3B+. However the announced hat will be of type 802.3af whereas I will need type 802.3at for my project as it needs to power an additional device. So, it looks like I will have to develop my own PoE hat (no ...

pigpio will allow you to send such data using waves.

E.g. look at http://abyz.me.uk/rpi/pigpio/pigs.html#WVAS (the same interface is available from C and Python).
Worked like a charm! You 've developed an excellent tool, it's greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Advanced help needed with custom serial setting 9600 8E1.5

I want to use the Raspberry Pi to communicate with a device via the serial interface. The device is quite picky on the settings. What I need is, the serial settings to be set at exactly 9600 baud, 8 bit, even parity and 1.5 stop bits. Although it is possible to use these settings with stty, in the l...

Which version of the Raspberry Pi are they 1, 2 or 3? Model B+ doesn't tell us much. There was only one B+ model. Correct :) Originally it was called "Raspberry Pi Model B+" but now it is also referred to as "RASPBERRY PI 1 MODEL B+" https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-1-model-b/

I tried the script on a fresh raspbian-lite image (Strectch 2017-11-29) which didn't seem to work. I was still able to write to the home directory.

Is the script not compatible with the new Raspbian Stretch?

When cleaning out the workshop, I found some brand new unique shields for the Raspberry Pi. We have developed the DSLR PoE shield (IEEE 802.3at / max. 25W) for a prototype 2,5 years ago. They are excellent shields that power the Pi & DSLR and have a remote shutter connector as well as a USB port tha...

The problem seems to be in the -k option (keep alive) I ' ve changed the script as follows: #!/bin/sh while true do nc -l 65535 | while read line do case $line in "ready") echo "server is ready" ;; "exit") echo "server exited";; esac; done done this does the job as expected :)

nc (netcat hangs when called from (startup) script.

Hi all, today I have come across something odd where I can't get my head around. I use nc (netcat) to enable communication between a server and a client. The client listens with nc and the server send messages via nc. I would like the client to start to listen on boot. The client receives and proces...
