Re: Form Factor?

I'm torn, do i reply or not, if it were the real world.. you'd just tell someone you were displeased by their words?

Janesh, do you find fruit's words helpful?

Form Factor?

Just watched "We asked our engineers your Raspberry Pi 4 questions.." Youtube vid.. along with other reviews. I can understand the principle of maintaining the same form factor but are there any plans to say double the PCB size.. just seems you could add so many things.. like standard HDMI ports, sa...

Seems like a common fault, I still haven't got it working but looks like this is the best way of keeping the usb input free for other uses:

rpi zero w + bluetooth audio

Hello I've been busy of late; replacing LAMP with LEMP and RPI 3 with RPI Zero W.. Ajax.. Django.. mainly because I've recorded every IR signal in the house (TV remote etc) and have them broadcast when the appropriate button is pressed on the relevant web page... the actual IR signal is generated by...

Massive fingers, Tiny Camera Connector Clip..

Any ideas, I'm skint for the next two weeks. I've got three rpi zero w's.. all of them work great except for me connecting cameras to them.. the clip on each one (as hard as I try to be gentle) just snap when I touch them.. anyone found a reliable way of still connecting a cam?

Re: RPI3 B >>> Mariadb >>> E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Decided to start a fresh because I failed to maintain a log of actions on the setup - gone for a minimalist, pi zero w, set-up with nginx and mariadb... feels like I've given the skirting boards a good clean.. got micro-controller projects running in conjunction, been putting off the inevitable.. ht...

Re: MySQL root password?

I guess you are using Raspbian Stretch and installed MariaDB. In a terminal type: sudo mysql -u root -p Just set up nginx, php7 and mariadb on an rpi zero w - thought that was going to be a tough night but went surprisingly well.. though Mariadb asking for the root password felt like a fresh instal...

Cheers, I'll look and update when I get home but I'm liking the question Dirk.. I think I've probably made a copy an paste error from somewhere (I hope)..

RPI3 B >>> Mariadb >>> E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Hi, please could someone help me, the weekend is almost gone - I've been busy building a webserver for home automation (on an off for a while now) - just gotten round/ready to add some form of database to log weather, microcontroller (picaxe) data and other things but I've been thwarted trying to in...

Re: GPIO state on boot >>> 5v and 3.3V pins

Cheers Richard, you were spot on with your advice to check the multimeter leads. They are okay but as soon as I read your post I realised I'd used the 10ADC socket last week, put the probe into the correct socket and all is fine. (It pains me to publicly admit an incident of stupidity, I'm 100% it w...

GPIO state on boot >>> 5v and 3.3V pins

Apologies if this question has been covered previously, I've tried to search the web/forum but I can't see a similar question. Before attempting to connect a picaxe (08M2) to the RPi; I thought I'd just double check the voltage pins on the RPi GPIO pins. (3.3V and 5.0V so I don't kill my 08M2) When ...

<t>Hate is a strong word though... It's a tool, I don't hate hammers when I lose a finger nail.  I'd say cheeky is a more apt word.
