 sudo apt install php-mysql should get the mqsqli stuff.
php-mysql is already the newest version (1:7.0+49).

could you be a bit more specific re If you look at their contents (e.g. voice-recognizer.service), you'll see it's still expecting (what I presume is) the old path, and the old file name. So in your AIY projects library demo src folder, symlink the new py file to main.py (so the old file name works)...

Been messing with the git on a Rasbian image and got nowhere!

If you really want to do it by yourself then I recommend you to look at my project https://github.com/alex-konshin/f007th-rpi It basically does what you need but for the different sensor (Ambient Weather F007TH).
