Re: HDMI monitors says NO SIGNAL (solved)

I've investigated a problem similar to this one for a couple of weeks now. The Pi outputs a relatively weak HDMI signal. Some devices may not immediately notice the Pi's HDMI or may not do the negotiation. Setting the hdmi_force_hotplug=1 makes sure the Pi believes the monitor/TV is really there. Yo...

Re: HDMI color output

I have a similar problem with my old Dell monitor (DVI). Lots of messy red line interference; then if I raise the HDMI boost to 9 it goes, but there is then no red at all. I think it is likely a design issue that the Pi produces a weak signal, and some displays, maybe older ones?, need a better sign...

Re: green/blue hue, no RED via HDMI

This seems to be a fairly common issue. My Pi works OK with some monitors/TVs but not others. I have an older Dell monitor here, that initially shows a lot of red line interference on screen. Raising the HDMI boost to 9 made the interference go, but I now have the 'no red' problem. I have tested the...

Re: NTP not working with pi + GPS

I've managed to fix mine, though I'm not 100% sure what I did. Primarily, I was following the instructions here http://www.satsignal.eu/ntp/Raspberry-Pi-NTP.html to try and get the PPS signal from the GPS working on pin 24 of the GPIO. When I installed the new kernel and modules, and rebooted, sudde...

Re: NTP not working with pi + GPS

I'm having the same issue; gpsd seems to be working correctly, but ntpd cannot see it. My GPS is connected directly to the serial port /dev/ttyAMA0, and I can confirm that cgps shows gpsd is talking to the gps module and is getting a time/location out. However, ntpd stubbornly refuses to get any syn...
