Re: Getting individual pages from magazines - remix?

I'm not sure what OS you're using but in Mint, and more than likely other Linux distros, pdfshuffler can split/re-arrange/add pages, it can also concatenate files. Inkscape can edit pdfs one page at a time. So you can export each page you want in pdfshuffler, edit the pages in inkscape and save as a...

If you mean the link on the right of this page

then they don't work for anyone. All the links apart from the last three are linked to

This might help or not - long time ago I saw a system for composing text.... The idea was that you entered a word and then many words appeared flying closd to that first word. Hi, I remember this system, it was called Dasher https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dasher_(software) , it was a predictive text...

You'll still need an adapter for the video. A male bnc to female rca. For cheapness you could use this and cut the video plug off. https://www.adafruit.com/products/2888 or for tidiness you could use this http://www.ebay.com/itm/BNC-Male-to-RCA-Female-Composite-Video-Adaptor-Adapter-Connector-/38057...

I don't have a Pi desktop handy but you could try holding 'Left Alt' and click on any part of the window with the 'Left Mouse' to move it around. It works in Xfce but, as I said, I don't have a Pi desktop handy.

As JimmyN said it should just work. Correct me if I'm wrong but you're trying to view a windows share on your Pi and not share a Pi folder to windows? If that's the case do you have smbclient installed? sudo apt-get install smbclient Once that in installed open your filemanager with smb://ip-to-wind...

Shouldn't that be

Code: Select all

@/usr/bin/python /home/pi/myprogram.py
with a space between /python and /home.
Also check all your paths in the script are absolute and not relative.
It would help if you posted your code too.

Re: Raspian -- desktop shortcuts?

If you open PCManFM, find the file/folder you need to create a shortcut for, highlight it.
From the PCManFM menu select 'edit', then click 'create link' then browse to where you want to put the link (eg Desktop).
That should be all you need.

What about using Navit, it's in the pi repositories
apt-cache search navit
It's an open source car navigation system that can use OSM data.

I've never tried it but it might be worth a go.
