Re: Dynamic Rotation

Thanks for the response. I tried: echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/class/graphics/fbcon/rotate Maybe I'm not doing it right, or maybe there's something different about my kernel, Linux version etc. (I'm running Berryboot with retropie for now), but doing the above, didn't do anything. In fact, checking the ro...

Re: Dynamic Rotation

How coincidental that I am looking for something very similar! I'm primarily only concerned about rotating my command line (no X windows manager running) to portrait. First, would the above even work, or is this only directed toward something running under an windows manager? If it would pertain to ...

Multiple servers, different IPs, how-to setup?

I have two RasPis, each running homeassistant, and owncloud. I have port forwarding from my router running for homeassistant (it was the first one set up), with DynDNS running on the router so that I can access my homeassistant install remotely. Now, I understand port forwarding, and homeassistant i...

Re: Official Touchscreen and Pygame

I too am having issues with the touchscreen and accuracy under python, pygame, and the command line. I'm not running it with any windows manager (X, etc.), so that might be one problem. But then I didn't want to need to startx if I didn't have to. It seems to me that with the following code, the x-s...

Re: Official display and RPi "B"

I thought I would offer an update: So, that approach for a Model B Version 1 is to wire the DSI from the screen to the DSI on the Pi, wire the SDA and SCL pins from the display to GPIO 3 and 5 (respectively), and set: CODE: SELECT ALL ignore_lcd=0 in /boot/config.txt This all worked on a Raspberry P...

Re: Official display and RPi "B"

I'm having a little difficulty following the thread, so I guess I need some more help. I have a Raspberry Pi Model B, Version 1. I am running "wheezy", but will probably upgrade, assuming it doesn't break all of the other stuff I've got running now. From what I gather: -The display is not compatible...

Re: pianobar, php, permissions

I think I see what you are suggesting, but the whole point is to be able to launch it from a web page. This would let me control pianobar from my phone, tablet or other web enabled device. I was guessing that PHP would be a good method at getting control of the server side. I tried your code, and it...

pianobar, php, permissions

First, let me apologize if this in the wrong forum. Mods, please move or redirect if I am! I am a complete beginner with Linux, and the Pi is driving my education in both Linux and several of the web based programming languages (HTML, PHP, etc.) I have successfully installed http://6xq.net/projects/...
