Re: Breadboards
As a small breadboard it should do the job.
The only extras you would need is possibly a ribbon cable for connecting to the gpio itself and maybe a header to plugin to the breadboard.
Then you can connect to anything else you want.

Re: Can I remove/unsolder some components?
I am actually making a humanoid robot so the weight is important for the balance once it is standing up. The thing is that I will also be using an arduino nano to control the motors so I want to take those components off the Pi in order to try to compensate for the weight of the arduino. Thank you ...

Have you tried doing the file copy while X isn't running?
try running top to see what the memory is doing during the file copy.

Have you tried checking the hashes of the downloaded image to make sure it downloaded correctly or tried a different image?
If the /boot partition or any files are corrupt you won't get much of anything from the Pi at all.

Re: At the Prompt, Now What?
This is blatant rubbish! For as long as I have been visiting the raspberrypi.org website, the banner has ALWAYS stated "And ARM GNU/Linux box for $25. Take a byte!" I can't understand how you could have bought a Raspberry Pi on February 29th without knowing this. There are a lot of develo...

Re: OpenCV on the Raspberry Pi
I've been preparing an OpenCV python program ready for the pi. The pi arrived and I compiled the uvc video module for my webcam drivers, and the camera is now recognised. However during the program I do a cvqueryframe I just get a seg fault (even with display output turned off. :( Will be seeing if ...

Battery Power/Pack
Just found one of these at work:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duracell-PPS2-I ... B001GXNJLC
Usb in to charge, Usb out to power the pi.
Lists input 5V 0.8A, output 5V 0.6A Max 3W
I'm just going to test it with the PI.

Possible fix, if I change the configure.ac file so that it appends the CFLAGS with -march=armv6k it builds without issue.
Presumably the qemu image needs to be changed?
