Re: MicroSD-card has become readonly

I used this microSD card in a camera so it should be an allowed device according to the warranty since it only takes pictures and movies when you press buttons. I had used the card in a Pi before that and it was last formatted to FAT32 in a Raspberry Pi. I had only taken three pictures with it, but ...

Re: MicroSD-card has become readonly

I think the error messages should be better and say that the card has been written to too many times. As it is now the OS pretend it's working, and it's when you insert it again that you find out that there was no changes. In some cases there are cryptic error messages.

OK, that's too bad. I discovered you could get a new one on warranty, but I think it will be hard to find my receipt: https://kb-eu.sandisk.com/app/rmaform

MicroSD-card has become readonly

I have an microSD-card (SanDisk Ultra 16GB HC I (10)) that has become readonly. I tried to format it using a Raspberry Pi (and microSD to USB adapter), but it doesn't change and the files are still there. Then I used: sudo fdisk -l To create one W95 FAT32 (LBA) partition, and formatted using: sudo m...

Re: A beep that works in Raspbian Stretch

Thanks!

An alternative to above is after

Code: Select all

sudo apt install sox

Code: Select all

raspi-beep2 () { play -n -c 2 synth $2 sin $1 2> /dev/null; }

Code: Select all

raspi-beep2 440 .7 ; raspi-beep2 880 .5
It is slightly louder. The first alternative is built-in.

The bug is that most icons are missing when I test it, but many others doesn't have this problem. There are supposed to be icons above the scene at http://tosh.tjvr.org/app/ and when you mouse o...
