Thanks Gents, I now won`t have a chance to try again until Saturday.

Really appreciate the assistance. Will try to follow ref for including Python text.

Kind regards

Re: Picamera Python Syntax Error

Info taken from Resources - Python Camera

import time
import picamera

with picamera.PiCamera() as camera:
camera.start_preview()
time.sleep(5)
camera.capture('/home/pi/Desktop/image.jpg')
camera.stop_preview()

It`s the first/ in the line "camera.capture(`/home/pi/Desktop/image.jpg`)

Re: Powered USB Hub

Thank you both for your replies. I will keep powering my Pi using the hub unless I hit a problem.

Powered USB Hub

I bought a powered USB hub which I have discovered also powers the Pi. If the micro USB power plug is removed Pi still functions from the powered hub with only the hub connected to power up the keyboard and mouse. Is this normal or do i have a snag?

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi, I am a total and complete novice with R-Pi. Please look out for pre kindergarten questions and comments :D I live in the far east - near the Suffolk coast. My hobbies include wildlife photography, cycling and trying to keep upright in a kayak hence the Muddy 1 name.
