Re: Power problem..

Sorted it. :D I noticed that my power led was flashing intermittently so I had a closer look at the micro usb socket. Turns out that my micro usb socket has a slight 'wiggle' to it if I pressed my finger against it. I grabbed my hot air gun and reflowed the solder, now the socket is rock solid. I ret...

Re: Power problem..

Thanks Dougie I'll order one straight away. :)

I've tried replacing the cable with a few I bought in Maplins, I guess those were just cheap ones being sold as good quality.

Power problem..

Can anyone help? My Pi 2 is powered using a 5v 2.0 amp usb PSU. I've only just realised that the colourful rainbow square in the top right hand corner of my screen isn't just an innocent 'busy' icon, it's actually a warning telling me that the Pi 2 isn't receiving enough power! So I swapped out my P...

Re: Storm in a Tea Cup = vanished!

Thanks for the reply, but I had already seen that post and it didn't answer my question. :D

It look's like they have removed the game completely from the PiStore as they couldn't resolve the problem.

Oh well, £2 wasted.

Storm in a Tea Cup = vanished!

I purchased Storm in a Tea cup earlier in the year, I recently had to format my SD card and I lost everythng, however now when I log onto the Pi Store I can not seem to find Storm in a Teacup at all!?

Has the game been removed from the Pi Store?

Re: Class 4 SDHC = doesn't work

Also, would this card be ok for the Pi?

Sorry for double post but I couldn't find the EDIT option.

Class 4 SDHC = doesn't work

I have a spare 4Gb SDHC Class 4 card but when I use it in any of my Pi's the boot log starts to get corrupted and the OS never completes the boot. Is this because a Class 4 card is too slow? My main card is a 8Gb Class 6 and it boots every time no problem. What are the recommended speeds for SD card...

Re: What was your first computer?

C64 was my first real computer, I had a few other TV Game type devices beforehand though.

I still use my C64 daily, infact I'm now the proud owner of 9 of them :)

Debian6-19-04-2012 will not boot on my Pi

I'm trying to find my way around Linux and I've found a nice tutorial which covers things that I think I should learn, the only problem is that the tutorial is based on Debian6-19-04-2012 but when I install it onto my SD card my Pi refuses to boot. Are images compiled for the 256mb version incompati...

Transfered Quake3 onto USB - now it won't boot.

With the help of a few tutorials I finally managed to build a working copy of Quake 3 :)

I copied the 'release-linux-arm' folder (and all sub folders) over onto a usb stick but when I try to run it I'm told that permission is denied!?

Total Linux n00b here, please be gentle. :)
