Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Buster

Hi first off thanks for this. Only issue I have is watching 1080i content, from a TVHeadend server...it plays for 2-5 seconds then the picture just freezes and I have to press stop to return to the menu. Has anyone experienced this or know of a fix? Happy to provide logs if needed. Cheers. Yes, ple...

Re: [Guide] Kodi on Raspbian Buster

I just tested 1080i TV streams, not from tvheadend but from mumudvb (but that shouldn't matter). They play fine and never break. Check your GPU memory settings. Thanks for the tip, but ive checked that and it's set to 320. I've taken the HTS pvr add-on out of the equation by loading the channels al...

Thanks, starting to see a theme of adapters here...

The "data mismatch" issue has been identified - there will be an updated vl805 utility distributed at some point in the future.
Mines very similar device to the one posted above, does this seem like something easily fixed?

There is no OSMC for Pi4 available currently.
So putting my already setup OSMC SD card from my Pi3b will never boot in Pi4?
No it won't work.
Sam from OSMC is working on it, and said a Pi4 release shouldn't take long, or words to that effect.

Re: RPi4 - incompatible (?) usb device

It is possible that it is a USB implementation issue with the device itself. Some manufacturers make assumptions about the standards based on what a certain mainstream OS does. I'm not saying this is the case here, but I remember using a particular USB flash drive some years ago which needed a Linu...

Re: RPi4 - incompatible (?) usb device

Im pretty sure there is a problem with the uas driver compatibility with a lot of usb enclosures, there's a lot of problems being reported with usb3 on the pi4. To be fair, it's more a Linux issue than a a Pi-specific issue. I don't know if the Pi exacerbates things, but I've had the same issues fo...

Re: Has anyone tested how the Raspi 4 does with Netflix?

If u use LibreELEC , or any other Kodi then Netflix works however due to widevine and the fact that it has to decode through software, the max resolution is 720p unfortunately.

Im pretty sure there is a problem with the uas driver compatibility with a lot of usb enclosures, there's a lot of problems being reported with usb3 on the pi4. I have a workaround that forces the enclosure to use the usb-storage driver, but performance takes a slight hit, and its not completely fix...

@RPI_Mike Well that was an experience! God knows what the problem is, so ive reinstalled the .debs from your guide and im back up an...

Re: TUTORIAL: Play or Encode High-Quality Video and Audio – with FFmpeg and mpv

@RPI_Mike Yes i should clarify, i followed your tutorial to the letter and it worked perfectly, not a single error. Playing backnormal MKVs,MP4s,etc worked excellently, so do normal internet streams, and weirdly even some HLS streams, just certain ones were buffering so i decided to do a little inve...

Re: TUTORIAL: Play or Encode High-Quality Video and Audio – with FFmpeg and mpv

Thanks for this guide, its really well laid out and easy to follow. I have one problem though, when using mpv for viewing hls streams, I'm getting quite a lot of buffering, after a bit of googling i discovered that quite a few changes were made to mpv from version 0.28 onwards which address this iss...
