HyperPixel 4.0 + LibreELEC = blank screen after touch

I have been living in and working in another country for nearly 5 years. The car I have is from a rental agency. Sadly it has AM/FM/audio CD/MiniDISC. No Aux input :'(. It holds a double DIN and only uses 1, so I bought a $25 USD Chinese radio to use as a basis for my CarPi. I want to use LibreELEC,...

Re: Can the pi 4 boot off exfat?

If you're looking for bootable exFAT for moving files easily from a Windows OS to the Pi, I would suggest just making an additional partition and format that as exFAT. That's what I did with one of my RetroPie systems. 1 partition BOOT (FAT32), 1 partition OS (ext3fs) , 1 partion DATA (exFAT).

Re: Keyboard and mouse from smartphone

Why not just use RDP from the phone to the computer? If you have a gmail account and use Google Chrome, it's really easy using ChromeRDP. There's even a client for iOS and android. That's what I use to control one of my PC's half way around the world.

I may have missed it, but is there a way to output through GPIO for an Adafruit TFT with this program?
I second this notion! Anyone have an idea of how to get this to work? Would be really useful for portable Pi projects!

Re: Pi0w g_mass_storage with partition not file.

A word of warning : the only safe way to have access from both sides at the same time is read only on both. Read/write on both sides will lead to filesystem corruption on the shared partition/file. Both sides expect exclusive access, both sides use caching. Neither side can notify the other that ch...

Pi0w g_mass_storage with partition not file.

I've seen instructions on how to enable g_mass_storage on the Pi0. However that requires creating a filesystem inside a file. I was wondering if there is a way to point the g_mass_storage to a partition that already exists on an SD card. My SD card partition is (BOOT (FAT16), System (EXT3), Data(exF...

I.K.E.M.E.N. / M.U.G.E.N. clone

OK, I know many people love MUGEN and want it on the Raspberry Pi, but the source code was never released. Someone created a clone called IKEMEN, which the source was given. However it ran in some propitiatory programming language the author created. He eventually ported it to the GO language which ...

Here's what I would do. Satellites No power should go to the card until a BINGO is signaled Once a BINGO is signaled the WiFi would become active and then shut down after a specified time. Central Pi Set Central Pi to "monitor mode". Have this pi display the numbers, etc. Have it store the BINGO car...

@hootie

First, I haven't seen any other those machines. Of course I'm not looking for them either.

Second, I am keeping the thrread related. I bought the SmartiPi touch and am using it in my rental car as a carputer. It fits in the car real nice. It's perfect for uses like that.

Re: CarPi Project (CarPC)

That is currently just an image I put together for design before I start the coding. I will be making it for KODI 16. I'm going to start with the foundation skin, which I found a few years ago when it was still XBMC. I tested the foundation skin and it still works in KODI 16. So, I'll be using that ...

@hootie I agree that it is a great case and fits PERFECTLY with my plans to implement it into a carputer. I rent a car through my company since I moved to Japan, and since I can't do anything about not having a navigation unit in my car (mainly for music), this case combined with KODI makes it a gre...

Re: CarPi Project (CarPC)

I'm currently in progress of using a SmartiPi Touch to build a CarPi project as well. The most commonly used skin is called CarPC (just google skin.carpc). There is also a carbon theme mod. It's nice, but I'm starting work on my own theme called CarPiT (Car Pi Theme). It's more of a new style look a...

Re: Smarti Pi Touch

I think it's a great design and well thought out. The only thing IF I had to nit-pick would be to add the excess on the right side as well to make the screen centered. However, this is a great case. I moved to Japan over a year ago and had to sell my car which had a navigation unit. Now, I'm renting...

I've used a teensy for many different uses. It's extremely small and mostly compatible with arduino code. I would go that way along with adafruit's kippah as you said.

I helped someone do something similar and here's what we did. 1) We used a 5V 4A wall wart instead of the internal PSU. 2) Replaced the DVD drive with a 5.25" drive cage to allow for 2x 3.5" HDD for some major storage. http://g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1jQcVJFXXXXcPXXXXq6xXFXXXk/ORICO-AC52535-1S-5-25-In...

You can use as many or few buttons as you need to wire. I was just stating that that is what the default configuration for a USB gamepad is in the teensy. The buttons will only register when you press them. If they they are not connected, they simply won't show as being pressed.

While that one does work there are a few issues with it. 1. You can change it into other languages such as English. But you can't scroll int the language selection. To do so you have to change the skin to confluence change the language and then change back to the CarPC skin. Everywhere else scrollin...

Take a look at the teensy 3 versions. It has a USB header and supports a variety of inputs. The default joystick configuration allows for 32 buttons and 6 axises. It can also be programmed using the arduino IDE. I think that is what you are looking for. Although it's a little more than an arduino na...

Re: Car Pi Media Center - Just a few configuration questions

There are multiple ways to split the 12V line.

You can solder additional wires to the the line
You can purchase a splitter
You can connect the 12V to 5V converter to where the 12V input for the amplifier is.

Those are just some examples.
