For everyone having trouble mounting their formatted containers, create the volume with NO filesystem. After that's done, mount the file with --filesystem=none, which will merely create a /dev/loop1 device. After that, use the common filesystem formatting tool for your desired filesystem (e.g. mkfs...

I think openfire might be looking for the JRE in the wrong location. I had the same problem with a Debian box. Try adding the following line in the first (uncommented) if statement of /etc/init.d/openfire t=/usr/lib/jvm/default-java && test -d $t && JAVA_HOME=$t Please let my know if this works for ...
