Myself and another competitor from PiWars started working on that: https://github.com/GamesCreatorsClub/GCC-Joystick
Examples might not include exactly PS4 compatible controller but I'm sure it is not hard making one...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Thread - general discussion

I'm not sure if this is Pi4 specific but I don't have a Pi3 set up right now... I'm trying to take a screen shot which needs to include the mouse cursor, but captures taken with both GIMP and scrot do not show the cursor. The GIMP even has a "show the cursor" tick box but it makes no difference. Pe...

Re: Good reasons to buy the latest Rpi 4 with 4G RAM?

Currently I am missing FreeCAD and Eclipse the most - rest of it works quite well. Eclipse is a monumental resource pig, even on high end PC! LOL - I think that killed it at the end. But, that's only if you pick Eclipse with everything in it. If you go with only Eclipse for Java developers (not JEE...

Has anyone had good success mining cryptocurrency with a Raspberry Pi? Has anyone won a Formula 1 race with a Fiat Panda? Not sure - but I don't think anyone attempted it. While people were using RPis for mining for cryptocurrencies... :) But, what if that Fiat Panda is controlled by Raspberry Pi? ...

Re: How to start with this ESC? Some simple questions

1. Can I use this ESC with this motor ? (same links as above) 2. How do I know what kind of PWM values I need to send to the ESC? Is that the same for all ESCs? Or is that a trial and error thing? 3. Is it possible to use the ESC to reverse the direction of the motor? Or do I also need to use an H-...

Re: Good reasons to buy the latest Rpi 4 with 4G RAM?

So funny when people say 4GB is too small. When I started out 32KB was a lot. I did fairly hardcore C development on 386 PC's with 4MB RAM. C code hasn't changed, but what has changed is the ability of the people writing the development systems to write decent memory efficient code. I didn't say 4G...

clicky, You did not say anything there. Prey tell, what do you consider "heavy"? What is your idea of "serious"? Re: Good reasons to buy the latest Rpi 4 with 4G RAM?

Note that unless you go tab-happy in a browser, it is very likely that a Pi4B2 will be sufficient for typical "PC desktop" uses. The Pi4B4 is more aimed at very heavy programming and development work. I wouldn't that call heavy  Heavier? Heavy-ish? Nah, sorry... Just lightweight, 'enthusiast ...

Anyone figured out why it wont find usbstick when it plugged into the usb3 ports but works from the usb2 ports? (boot from sd card system on usb)
Maybe you need (bigger?) delay. I've just checked - I have:

Code: Select all

 rootdelay=5
at the end of /boot/cmtline.txt

Re: Can I run Apache Airflow on Raspberry Pi 4/3?

Yeah - it seems to be OK. I've, unfortunately, got tangled in different version (python vs airflow vs my example stuff) and didn't get scheduler to run properly, but so far all seems just fine. I'll give it a go sometime later... But, as I said, I see absolutely no reason why it wouldn't run. Also, ...

No it wouldn't. People would still buy it at $75 or $85 or whatever price would be possible. Because SHINY. At 8GB the RAM chip is the biggest expense on the board (TBH, even at lower levels its the expensive part) Bu of course! Most of the stuff is bought because it is SHINY and I don't see anythi...

Re: Is it possible to measure the power consumption using raspberry pi? If yes then how?

Yes. Break the 5V wire (usually red but check anyway) in the USB cable and wire it to a INA219 breakout board. If it is as simple as with micro USB - they no issue there! :) I was just worried about USB C (port!) being picking about where the 5V is coming from. If it is not picky, then I can just w...

Re: Is it possible to measure the power consumption using raspberry pi? If yes then how?

Forgive my ignorance... So rather than powering the Pi via the USB socket you run your 5V through the INA219 to the header 5V and GND pins? Correct. Good point. Now I'll be on a hunt for cheap USB C cable I can cut in two and use it to power my Pi4. Wait. Is that even possible and if so what is req...

Maybe you should find (online or otherwise) a course of Java language? In this particular case arr1 and arr2 are just pointers and when you assign arr2 = arr1 you just make arr2 point to the same arr1 array. Does that make any sense?
