Re: ROS on RPi

Hi folks, I wanted to let you know I'm sharing a new SD card image with ROS Fuerte core libraries and 95% of the ROS Desktop Install, + rosserial & rosserial_java stacks and Arduino pre-installed. I'm sharing it as a .torrent file, more information here: http://jeremy-nicola.info/2012/10/05/new-ros-...

Re: ROS on RPi

Hi, sorry I was away from anything computerized in the last weeks. @mkopack thank you, yes, I basically just used what previous work other had done to install ROS Fuerte, including your previous pains ;) @Davinci you are welcome. Re: ROS on RPi

I successfully installed ROS Fuerte ROS-Full layer on Raspbian. Here is an image of my SD card : ROS Fuerte - Raspbian It comes just with ROS-Full and its dependencies installed. Because the build process is really long I thought it could help some of us to have a basic just-ROS-Full installation im...

Re: OpenCV on the Raspberry Pi

Jeem, I've found that the webcam is not recognized on Debian That's really annoying ! Is the default kernel used by debian built with V4L support enabled? That said, I've tested the webcam with QT V4L2 test utility and found 18fps on a 352x288 resolution. That's not awesome too, I realy hope it's j...

Re: OpenCV on the Raspberry Pi

Thank you for this documentation. Could you please do some basic benchmark regarding Webcam capture? Like a loop that captures image, convert it to grayscale, show the image, start again, then average the time it takes to do the loop. I am definitely going to play with OpenCV on the Pi. I am just wa...
