Re: Emulation on the Raspberry Pi (NEW)

No mention of Glint as a standalone NES emulator? With a graphical front end and the emulator specifically tailored for Pi emulation, it's definitely the best one I've tried so far.

Re: Pi & Batteries / suitable pack (?)

I've seen some battery packs which have 1 USB giving 1a output while the other is 2a . [for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160902161900?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 ] Would it make a difference which usb hole I put the Pi into and which one to put the screen in to? Or shoul...

Ah that's good to know! Would it be easy to power both Pi and screen using the single usb connection on the battery pack though ? :)

Re: Pi & Batteries / suitable pack (?)

The Display does not specify its supply Voltage but being designed for in car use, I suspect that it is designed for 12V, You would be better off with a 12,000 mAH Li-Ion pack which can be bought on eBay for around £15. Search for Emergency usb Chargers. I'm assuming it's like this one , which is 1...

Pi & Batteries / suitable pack (?)

Hi Guys, I was just wondering if someone with knowledge of powering a Pi via batteries (or someone with knowledge of the power needed to run a Pi) could help me out. I've found the following, and I wanted to know which of these two battery packs would be suitable :) 5v 1a http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

#2 I was able to get my snes controller to work for the snes games using the retropie_setup.sh. is it possible to change the key settings for emulation station navigation menu to use the snes bututons? I want to be able to cut my keyboard out the whole RPi setup completely. I want to be able to "cl...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Thank you ! :) Everything looks configured now. I have another problem though, when I go to play any game of any console, the game now runs extremely slowly, so much so that with certain consoles (atari 2600 & game gear) the pi locks up after less than a minute  Some questions: -are you using ...

Also, the controller works fine with Emulationstation (can go all directions and the other buttons work) after it was configured it when plugging the controller in for the first time :)

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Sorry for yet another question so soon. Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Two questions :)

Firstly, would this controller work with RetroPie?

Secondly, whenever I try and play Master System games (NES and GB games aren't affected) the screen flashes constantly; I'm not sure what would cause this and what I can do about it (?)

Re: SD Card Resizing Issue

I started again and it's been going 3 hours now.

The Ok light is flickering ever so slightly , but I'm frankly getting bored of waiting lol.
Could a reboot speed things up? - would it continue from the exact same position?

*edit* ctrl alt delete isn't doing anything :(

SD Card Resizing Issue

I've recently bought a larger capacity SD card from ebay, a Class 10 32gb Adata SDHC to be precise [ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=251174312235 ] as my previous 8GB card was too small for what I now want to do with my Pi (RetroPie). When I install Debian and try to expand the ...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Shouldn't do. Are your roms unzipped and of the correct formats? If it can't find them, it doesn't let you switch screens to that emulator (no point if there's no games!) Ah yes, my bad  Now that I've sorted that out I have a couple more questions (I was contemplating starting a thread but ho...
