Re: problem downloading retropie from github

You could also download the image file, if you don´t have other important stuff on your pi.

RetroPie - Duke3d not working + Genesis Problem

Hello, i tried it several times now, installed Retropie manually and use the 1.3 image now but i don´t get Duke Nukem to work. Maybe someone knows how to do it. If i start it from Emulationstation, there is a red screen for 1/10 Second and then i am back in the menu. I am using the Chinch TV Out and...

Re: RetroArch Emulator Frontend

Can i do anything to avoid this crazy noise sounds via analog output?

I read about problems with the ALSA drivers and a USB Soundcard would help, but does someone know if this is a big problem to solve? Don´t want to buy a Soundcard for a few days.

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Did you do the binaries-based installation or build from source? Trying the build from source might help, I'm not sure how up-to-date the binaries are (update RetroPie, run the "custom" install, only select EmulationStation from the list). The only thing I can think of is an overscan problem, as ES...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Yes i tried it, but it didn´t change anything. Maybe the ES-Menu is just not working with that low resolutions. I don´t know. If i try 320x224 pixels ES crashes completely.

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Okay, that's really weird. Try just running "clear", running ES, then immediately closing ES (press F4). Does the resolution info show up on your terminal then? no, nothing, it shows just EmulationStation cleanly shutting down...c USB Joystick stems.cfg"... Edit: But now i have something in my log....

Also ich habe die Datei unter Windows bearbeitet, allerdings nicht wegen Übertaktung sondern zwecks Bildschirmauflösung und es funktioniert dauerhaft.

Kannst ja vorher ein Backup der Datei machen.

Try this: It helped "leathco" (the guy who figured it out) and me.

Code: Select all

 ./retroarch-joyconfig -o ~/.retroarch.cfg
first, than following with

Code: Select all

./retroarch-joyconfig -o /.retroarch.cfg

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Thanks, but this doesn´t work. I am connecting the cinch TV out so the Resolution should be 720x576.. but it doesnt work with the -w -h Hmm, that's strange. Try writing ES's output to a log file, like this: emulationstation > log.txt Then check what's in the log file with: less log.txt Near the top...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

How can i change the Screenresultion for the ES menu. You should be able to pass a desired resolution through the command line with something like: emulationstation -w 1024 -h 768 I haven't tested this since the new OpenGL renderer rewrite, so I'm not sure if it'll be centered/scale correctly - if ...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I got my controller working.....strangely it took me running ./retroarch-joyconfig -o ~/.retroarch.cfg first, than following with ./retroarch-joyconfig -o /.retroarch.cfg. Not sure why that is, but it got it working for me. I have no clue why though.......now to make a backup of my SD card so I don...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I have the same controller problem, could someone please upload or send (a link for) the standard es_systems.cfg? In my case it wasn´t created in the ES folder. If es_systems.cfg isn't found, ES writes a default (which contains instructions), quits, and asks you to go read it. Are you sure you're c...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

I'm having problems getting my controller working in-game. It works fine in the emulationstation frontend though. I have tried using retroarch-joyconfig, and that tool picks up the controller inputs fine. I have tried the ./retroarch-joyconfig >> ~/.retroarch.cfg command, but it is just creating a ...

It was just a Test with the 360 Controlller, i already have two SNES Joypads.

The Main Problem is, even my keyboard doesn´t do anything in this button map screen. I can´t skip it or map keyboard buttons.

Re: NES + Pi

Nice work!

Would like to build almost the same but with SNES Pads and the Choice between SNES, NES, Genesis/Megadrive, Mastersystem and MAME.

I can´t code anything, so i hope something like this is coming in the future!
