Need to Buy 1000 Raspberry Pi 3

Hi, I am working with an organization here in Karachi, Pakistan which plans to develop Kiosk like systems to be introduced in schools and community spaces for Deaf Children/people across the country. For this purpose, we need to buy 1000 Raspberry Pi 3 Systems, any help, advise, pointers, guidance w...

including RUN PORT in HAT - need Dimensions Pi3

So, I am designing a simple HAT for Raspberry Pi 3 which includes some buttons, LEDs, buzzer, a small LCD and some sensors and such. I also want to add a RESET button and need to use the RUN PORT pins in my HAT, but I cannot find any reference to the actual position of the RUN PORT on the new Raspbe...

Re: [How To?] Torrent box with raspberry pi?

I have my HTTP server running on pi and have got it online (even though my IP keeps changing)... :) now I want is to have an upload file and a password field on the HTTP page and if I upload to it with a proper password, it should start downloading that torrent...?? this is the basic idea, lets see ...

Security Concerns for a CONNECTED Raspberry Pi

Hi, so finally I now have a connected raspberry pi, where I was able to document the whole process from installing the latest Wheezy raspbian on an SD card to getting it online. This is more of a learning project where I want to try different things on my Pi and have it accessible from anywhere, atm...

Re: twidge package upgrade

The new version of twidge build-depends on a new version of aeson which in turn depends on a new version of ghc. So it isn't going to get updated in raspbian wheezy and the update in raspbian jessie will have to wait until debian completes the ghc transition. so... is it worth it if I do sudo apt-g...

Re: Turning a Raspberry Pi into a PLC - Software Problems

I tried, but again STUCK.. :( am posting the error details here but it seems I need to see documentation of MatIEC and/or Beremiz and contact them regarding the error. When BUILD is pressed in Bremiz, the MatIEC gives error when converting from IEC ST file to C file for further work. I am attaching ...

Re: Turning a Raspberry Pi into a PLC - Software Problems

You might want to check the third option, the REX Control System. Programming is done using FBD. If you are interested, visit the thread http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=55811 It is not mentioned there but it supports Modbus over RS485 and RS232 too. Ah yes... the 3rd option. ...

Turning a Raspberry Pi into a PLC - Software Problems

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

it's just a matter of time before we see affordable powerful hardware like the PI that actually can compete with PLCs on all fronts, and waay beyond. And when that happens why would one choose an outdated development environment (lad, stl,...) over more fully featured modern programming languages l...

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

So, the real question then is what would it take to build a PI with the same level of reliability as a PLC? it is NOT as much about reliability as it is about getting this to work. At least it will be good for simulation/educational purposes if we get Beremiz working on Raspberry Pi and if there is...

Beremiz works on the Raspberry Pi. I'm now working on a "Proof of Concept", the IO-module is now an Arduino, which is using Modbus. This weekend I'll write a library for Beremiz (I did it last weekend, but I wrote it in C++, but the Beremiz C-Extensions works only with C (owned)). I'll give feedbac...

Mathematical Model for Raspberry Pi

Hi, I am making my FYP (Final Year Project) based on Raspberry Pi, essentially turning Raspi into a proof-of-concept industrial controller. This might seem like an odd question, we are required to submit report and in that report there is a section called as "Mathematical Model of the system", now I...
