Re: Minecraft Pi installed, but no mcpi folder

Are you running Python 3 or Python 2. We started with 3 and saw the same error message. We switched to Python 2 and it worked!

I hope that helps.

Re: Using Raspberry Pi in the classroom

Folks, I thought I would update folks what we have been doing in the classroom. I have now been using Raspberry Pi in the classroom for 18 months. I have been using with and without Arduino micro controllers. I have learned a lot about embedded computing. It is very popular with my students. I am ha...

Re: SHA-1 Checksum

Ok this is where my ignorance really becomes even more obvious:

Do I only use checksum if I am downloading a zip file or do I need a different checksum value for the img file?

Thanks In Advance

I will share this info with my students to help all of us to become a little less dumb. :)

SHA-1 Checksum

Folks I check on the board before I posted the following:

IT Should be SHA-1 Checksum: 514974a5fcbbbea02151d79a715741c2159d4b0a

Others and I are getting a Checksum: 6ac10d049cd8cf3876a74493830dca586487c585

Anyone know what's up?

Thanks in Advance

Re: Software stack for educators

Folks, I think we get these in the classroom via afterschool and summer programs. Once parents hear and see the Raspberry Pi, they will approach PTAs about funding Raspberry Pi computers. I am teacher and this how robotics have finally started entering the classroom. I also think an affordable Raspb...

I wil one-to-one ratio with my first test group. I probably will be 2-1 normally. I also plan trying to use Arduinos with the Pi (s).

Re: US Hackspace Tour discussion and planning

Is Rob coming to Charlotte Hackerspace or will he be in the Charlotte, North Carolina area? I am a member of the Charlotte Hackerspace and a school teacher in Charlotte who is beginning to use Raspeberry Pi in the classroom. I would be happy to take you out to lunch and show you our school if Rob is...
