Re: Replacement SD card Socket

Hi,
thanks for the suggestions, I tried the credit card/glue method, so far it's working well.... but now the mouse has died!
Some days it's not worth getting out of bed!

Replacement SD card Socket

Hi,
can anyone tell me where I can obtain a replacement SD card socket for my PI?
I have looked on ebay and found several sockets, but the pin outs seem different. (the plastic on the side of mine has cracked, causing the card to fall out of the socket!)

Hi,
does anyone know which WiFi dongles definitely work with the latest Debian OS, and what driver/firmware do I need to use it?

I got a Pi!!

Mi Pi arrived yesterday from Farnell, I was a little concerned about how it would be packed after reading about flimsy padded bags. All was well, the Pi was in a cardboard box in a padded bag, booted into debian no problems! Wired keybord and a Toshiba wireless mouse (model R300) works fine from a u...

Re: Any word from Farnell?

I received an email from Farnell (UK) saying my Pi would be delivered in the week commencing June 4th. On Friday I had an email saying it had been dispatched :D
I was hoping it would arrive on Saturday so I could play with it over the weekend, no luck ... so I will have to wait until Monday :(

Bugger off and start your own thread.
What about an ex-Lancastrian who emigrated to the dark side (Doncaster) 6 years ago?

Re: The MagPi Magazine

Just looked at the MagPI magazine, looks great for newbies, a nice mix of computer history and practical tips, well done to everyone involved.

(According to Farnell my Pi is due in about a month.... can't wait!)

Downloaded over night, it didn't want to install at first.... then it just worked, not sure why!
I set it to use USB1 and set the network to NAT
Web browsing works fine, not had time to play with much else, but looking good so far!
