Re: Spectrum Next Pi Zero on kickstarter and Pi Zero

I'm just a really (probably overly) enthusiastic backer at the £215 level. All the information I've posted is in the public facebook group, just consolidated a bit for you guys in the hope that someone may pick up on it and give the thumbs up to a disty to release a block of 100 or more They've been...

Re: Spectrum Next Pi Zero on kickstarter and Pi Zero

It's only supply issues that made the 100 limit, if there hadnt been a limit, every one produced would probably have had one!! The demand for a ready fitted pi zero is huge, if they could get 500 zeros, they'd sell 500 nexts with zeros fitted! Also, you're forgetting the microSd card needed, 40 pin ...

Option "SwapAxes" "1"

maybe change that to a 0 ?

Re: Icade Cabinet screen

Why not check out seeed studios,
they have a nice $90 10.1" HDMI Monitor

otherwise, go find a <12" 'portable dvd player' for cheap and hack it up a bit - give it a composite input from the pi an dyou're good to go!

trying both here, will let ya know how i get on

Re: Foundation Camera Board information

Guys, it ain't gonna be easy to remove the IR filter on these things!, the filter itself is held in place on the sensor by the black, square 'plastic' lens holding casing - see photo attached. The filter is tucked nicely under the circle at the 4 corners to remove it needs the rear body of the modul...

Re: Thermal imaging possible?

I have tried removing the infrared filter from some old webcams, I am thinking of doing thermal imaging with a thermometer module attached as a control to room temperature. My question is how the current camera module designed? Can I remove the IR filter as easy as normal webcams? Looks like it ain...

Re: camera sensor size?

Thanks to M33P's post - http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=346170#p346170 there's three small lumps of epoxy on the lens thread, I found gently scraping them off with the tip of a pair of scissors - took about 5 min - freed up the threads enough to be turned with a small clamp (not a ...

camera sensor size?

Hi Guys, from a little interwebs digging, looks like the camera module's using a 1/4" sensor, 65 degree field of view, F2.8 Lens (nice and fast!), Question, is the lens formally 'stuck' into the sensor module housing? looking at the images I can find it seems there may be some manufacturing adjustme...

Australia stock - Farnell / Element 14

Hi,
was just browsing Element 14 and noticed the Pi's are IN STOCK!

http://au.element14.com/jsp/search/prod ... PR-2081185

there were 700 in stock when I ordered, 690 now!
that'll save me waiting a couple more months for my RS order to arrive :-)

Good luck :-)
