Re: sdk?

<t>Tutorials are always a nice addition, but is not what i primary want in an sdk. What i want in an sdk are drivers and hardware documentation as said before. The binary drivers should come with instruction on how to install them and if for linux an opengles .so lib is provided no additional docs a...

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

Will the raspberry-pi ship in a cardboardbox? Maybe that can be made its case with printed on cutouts?

Or like with the stickers sell a piece of cardboard that can be cut and folded into a case with a nice raspberry print.

Re: sdk?

<t>Agree, but in that case at least the correct drivers or .so libraries need to be provided with the raspberry-pi. As said using the opengles api is not an issue for the sdk, much better info on that can be retrieved elsewhere. But if no driver .so libary is provided with the raspberry-pi there wil...

Re: Game Console OS

I am referring to the post on bypassing the shell on linux boot from the previous page:
Should be doable, but maybe not in a way you expect. Think of the way linux is able to display a gui login screen. And think of the way ubunto is able to provide info when entering the shell.

Re: sdk?

<t>What i want in an sdk is instructions on what to do with the blob (if anything) and what binary files to place where to be able to use opengles (to learn how to program opengles is not a topic for an sdk). To put it in parallel with an pc a pc with x hardware needs to provide drivers to make the ...

Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

I think it could make a nice apple tv like device, but then almost all opensource. My secret wish for a device like this is to turn it into a gaming console with 3d opengles graphics. With this one it wont be expansive any more like with the beagleboard.
