Re: Guesses at the date and time that the RPi will be available for purchase?

According to the video on the site, the RPi will be available from the store a few weeks after January 17th, which would be maybe the first week or two of February. Does anyone have a better guess at the date and time it will become available for purchase in the store?

Re: Cheapest HDMI monitor or HDMI to VGA monitor adapter, keyboard, mouse setup?

<r>Just found this HDMI to VGA converter for $34.99 USD: <URL url="http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Co.....038;sr=8-4">http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Co.....038;sr=8-4</URL><br/> <br/> Have not bought it yet, but reviews make it look ok. Re: Pictures of screen displaying example of RPi composite output?

<t>Thanks to everyone for the comments, but I agree with Davespice about getting back to trying to find a good pic. Could someone who has a Pi hook it up to a T.V. and show us what a terminal window (showing command-line with some code) looks like via composite at the highest usable resolution and p...

Re: Pictures of screen displaying example of RPi composite output?

<t>After reading the other threads on resolution, etc. of RPi via composite output, I'm really curious if I could see some real world example photos of terminal output, like displaying some command-line stuff or some code that students might be editing in vim/emacs, via composite output on what is a...

Re: Cheapest HDMI monitor or HDMI to VGA monitor adapter, keyboard, mouse setup?

<t>The Pi would be really neat to have, and I would like to buy one if I can find a very cheap solution for a screen. Without either a very low cost HDMI monitor/TV or the adapter to VGA that costs more than the Pi itself, it just isn't workable for me. I can rationalize spending 22 quid ($34 USD + ...

Re: Cheapest HDMI monitor or HDMI to VGA monitor adapter, keyboard, mouse setup?

<r>Even though HDMI and AV output are awesome, what I would have available to use with the Raspberry Pi are a VGA monitor and a PS/2 keyboard and mouse. So to get this to work with the Pi, I need a:<br/> <br/> HDMI to VGA adapter (~$40 USD):<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.amazon.com/SPDIF-Co.....ro...

Re: OS to boot directly into classic computer emulator

<t>While there are a lot of projects out there for emulating various classic computers and gaming systems, there are very few distros that I've found in which the OS could directly and easily boot directly into emulation (or into a menu that booted into emulation). I've not tried them in ages, but A...
